摘要： A wood board feeding system for positioning in a parallel orientation longitudinal pieces of lumber. It comprises a feeding conveyor assembly configured to receive and convey the longitudinal pieces of lumber over a conveying area in a conveying direction. The feeding conveyor assembly comprises a first conveyor sub-assembly and a second conveyor sub-assembly, both comprising a conveyor for conveying the longitudinal pieces of lumber about one of their ends and a motor driving the conveyor at a conveying speed. The first conveyor and the second conveyor are disposed side-by-side with respect to the conveying direction, thereby the first conveyor sub-assembly and the second conveyor sub-assembly position a respective one of the two opposite ends of the longitudinal pieces of lumber.

摘要： An elevating and clewing continuous log turner includes a mainframe having a movable frame adapted for vertical or horizontal translation relative to the mainframe. A rotating group is mounted in the movable frame. The rotating group has a passageway therethrough. Roller arms are pivotally mounted around a perimeter of the rotating group. The roller arms concentrically clamp the log relative to the rotating group to thereby rotate the log about its longitudinal axis simultaneously with selective rotation of the rotating group. At least one actuator horizontally and vertically translates the movable frame relative to the mainframe.

In embodiments, a continuous track loop conveys board stops slideably mounted to board stop guides positioned perpendicular to the direction of flow. A horizontal frame member provides a series of positioning guides through which a cam follower coupled to a board stop is diverted, thus adjusting the position of board stops in a direction perpendicular to the direction of flow without the use of braking devices or other added sources of mass, friction or vibration.

摘要： The present invention discloses a log sawing system comprising multiple cutting blades. The multiple cutting blades are positioned to cut laterally or perpendicular to the centerline of the log which is to be cut. The logs are transported into cutting position using some type of log positioner. The multiple cutting blades are rotatably mounted on an arm which is pivotally mounted on a shaft in groups, being driven by an electrical or like motor, all of which are mounted onto a platform positioned adjacent to the log to be cut. Hydraulic lifters are used to partially rotate the saw blades into the cutting position adjacent the log. Means utilizing a computer and lasers are provided to develop a log cutting solution to best utilize the logs.
