    • In a frequency shift keying system, sine waves of different frequencies f.sub.0 and f.sub.1 are selectively provided as a modulated output signal in accordance with the level of an input code. One of two pulse signals having frequencies N times higher than the frequencies f.sub.0 and f.sub.1 is selected by a selector in accordance with the level of the input code, and the selector output pulse signal is frequency divided by a counter down to 1/N to obtain a pulse signal having a duty ratio of 50% and a frequency of f.sub.0 or f.sub.1. The pulse signal obtained is converted by a low-pass filter into a sine wave. The modulated output signal has no phase shift even at the point of transition of the input code level and has continuity and hence has little modulation distortion.

    • A zoom lens assembly with an auto-focus function includes first and second lens groups, and a control device for causing a drive mechanism to rotate a distance-presetting ring which moves one of the lens groups, to adjust a focus in accordance with a signal sent from a light-receiving element for indicating the focused state of a foreground object. A line pattern substrate is arranged to move with the distance-presetting ring. A change in the focal length caused by the rotation of a zoom ring is sensed by a substrate detecting element which informs the control device of that extent to which the distance-presetting ring is to be rotated in order to assure a proper focus notwithstanding the changed focal length. The corrective rotation of the distance-presetting ring is detected by movement of the line pattern substrate relative to the detecting element. The light-receiving element is supplied with a beam of light reflected from the foreground object through the first and second groups of lenses.

    • In a memory refresh control system for refresh control of a memory having, as refresh addresses, addresses respectively corresponding to combinations of n+N bits, there are provided a refresh control circuit which yields, as refresh addresses, addresses respectively corresponding to combinations of n bits and generates, in a certain period of time, refresh clocks respectively corresponding to the abovesaid addresses for specifying 2.sup.n refresh times, a circuit which divides each of the refresh clock into 2.sup.N in terms of time and an overhead bit generator which is supplied with the divided clocks to produce successively addresses respectively corresponding to combinations of N bits for each divided clock. The n bits available from the refresh control circuit are added with the N bits generated by the overhead bit generator and then applied as an address of n+N to a memory, which is refreshed by the divided clock. The refresh clock divider is composed of monostable multivibrators of suitable time constants, and the overhead bit generator is formed by a counter.
