    • A camera assembly includes an endcap assembly for closing off the bottom end of a second film chamber, which is sized to selectively receive a roll of film or a secondary film cartridge housing a roll of film. The endcap assembly can include a movable shutter blade enclosed between two plates. The endcap assembly can be removably secured to the camera assembly. At least a portion of the endcap assembly can be formed with the camera assembly. Embodiments further relate to a method of loading such cameras, especially in the daylight. The method involves bringing a sleeve into light-tight engagement with the endcap assembly and then inserting a winding rod through the sleeve and the endcap assembly and into a second film chamber of the camera. The winding rod can then be used to wind film out of a cassette in the first chamber and into a roll in the second chamber.

    • The invention relates to a photographic recording or reproducing device, preferably a camera, with a transportation device for the frame-by-frame transportation of a film along a film transportation path and with a film measuring device with an engagement member rotatable about an axis for engaging in perforation holes of a peripheral perforation of the film, the film transportation device being locked when the film reaches a position during its transportation which is provided for the recording or reproduction of an image, and the engagement member comprising an advancing engagement element in relation to its rotational movement and a trailing support element and being adjustable transversely to the film transportation path as a function of the abutment of the support element upon a surface extending parallel to the film transportation path. In addition, the photographic recording or reproducing device includes a transportation device for the frame-by-frame transportation of a film along a film transportation path and a film measuring device with a rotatably and displaceably mounted engagement member for engaging in a peripheral perforation of a film, the film transportation device being locked by a locking device when the film reaches a position during its transportation which is provided for the recording or reproduction of an image, the locking device 29 of the measuring device being controllable by a drive device 50 for a sealing member of a film cassette K inserted in the device.

    • A film pressure plate is provided with a magnetic head which records magnetic information in a magnetic recording section at lower edge of photographic film. A saddle-shaped pad is arranged at the front of a rail plate in such a manner as to face the magnetic head. There is provided a leaf spring for pushing the pad from an opening formed in the rail plate in a direction for the pad to advance onto a film feed path such that a longitudinal direction of the leaf spring corresponds to the film feed direction. A fixed end of the leaf spring is fixed at the upstream of a direction in which the film is fed when the magnetic data are recorded. Thereby, the pad can stably contact with the face of the film while the film is being fed, and the magnetic recording section on the film can come into contact with the magnetic head in a stable manner.
