    • A synthetic fiber which is excellent in moisture-absorbing/releasing property and exhibits high elongation and high stretch recovery, characterized in that it has moisture absorption ratios of 0.5 to 4.0% by weight in environments of 20° C.×65% RH and that of 4.5% by weight or more in environments of 30° C.×90% RH, respectively, and also has a difference between the absorption ratios in both the environments of 4.0% by weight or more. The representative examples of such fibers include polyurethane synthetic fiber and polyether synthetic fiber. The synthetic fiber maintains a high strength at break of an elastic fiber component thereof also in the state of having absorbed moisture, is excellent in color fastness to rubbing, and can be used for manufacturing a stretch fiber fabric product excellent in comfort through blending with another fiber material. The synthetic fiber can be produced by incorporating a water absorption resin having a water absorption ratio in a range from 500 to 4000% by weight into an elastic fiber such as a polyurethane fiber or a polyurethane-urea fiber in a finely dispersed state in an amount in a range from 1 to 15% by weight relative to a fiber-forming polymer.

    • A calculator includes a main TLB that stores therein a plurality of address translation pairs indicating a correspondence of a virtual address and an absolute address as a page table and a micro TLB that stores therein part of the page table stored in the main TLB. In the micro TLB, a TLB virtual address [63:13] and a TLB absolute address [46:13] are registered in a correlated manner. With such configuration, when registering an address translation pair in the micro TLB, the calculator chops the address translation pair to a page size of a first size or a fourth size to register it in the micro TLB. Upon receiving an address translation request, the calculator searches for an address corresponding to the page size of the first size or the fourth size registered in the micro TLB, so that address comparison conditions can be reduced, enabling to improve a processing performance.

    • A memory control apparatus includes a reading unit, an inserting unit, an identifying unit, a determining unit, and an outputting unit. The reading unit reads data from the memory. The inserting unit inserts a dummy error at an insertion position in the data thereby obtaining error data. The identifying unit identifies an error position at which an error has occurred in the error data. The determining unit determines whether the insertion position matches the error position. When the insertion position matches the error position, the outputting unit outputs corrected data obtained by correcting an error at the error position.

    • An elastic polyurethane fiber excellent in chlorine resistance, which contains particles of a metal compound selected from oxides and hydroxides of a metal selected from zinc and magnesium, and composite oxides of zinc and magnesium, a treating agent selected from a fatty acid, a styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer or its esterified products and a phosphoric ester adhering to the surface of the particles. The elastic polyurethane fiber is appropriate for an elastic fiber material for swimwear used in a swimming pool. The elastic polyurethane fiber can be produced by spinning a polyurethane spinning dope containing the metal compound particles to which such a specific treating agent as mentioned above adheres. The spinning dope suppresses secondary agglomeration of the metal compound particles and enables stabilized spinning of a modified polyurethane fiber.
