摘要： An air conditioner system for automotive vehicles includes a blower control unit for adjusting discharge amount of conditioning air into the vehicular cabin depending upon the difference between the set cabin temperature and the cabin temperature, and for causing the discharge amount of fluctuate so as to increase and decrease when the difference between the temperatures is less than a predetermined value. The periods through which the discharge amount is greater than and less than predetermined values, respectively, are controlled depending upon the monitored insolation. The air conditioner system also includes an air flow direction setting unit for adjusting direction of the conditioning air discharge from a vent nozzle. The air flow direction setting unit is operable between a concentrated discharge air mode in which the air flow discharged from the vent nozzle is concentrated on the vehicular occupants, and a diffused discharge air mode in which it is diffused so as not to be concentrated on the occupants. The air flow direction setting unit is operated in accordance with the discharge amount.

摘要： An automatic air conditioning system for automotive vehicles including discharge outlets for discharging conditioned air comprises a plurality of louvers utilizing a number of fins, a discharge outlet actuator for controlling the fins, and a controller for determining that the environmental conditions of the vehiclular cabin are in either, a cool-down state wherein a cabin temperature in the vehicular cabin is excessively higher than a target cabin temperature, a steady state wherein the cabin temperature is essentially equal to the target cabin temperature, or a transient state between the cool-down state and the steady state. The controller controls the discharge outlet actuator so as to vary the discharge mode of the conditioned air discharged from the discharge outlets in one of three discharge modes in response to the environmental conditions. The controller controls the discharge mode such that the occupant in the vehicular cabin can feel suitably cool under the environmental conditions in the vehicular cabin which is momentarily changed.

The mode of the air flow direction setting unit is changed from the diffused discharge air mode to the concentrated discharge air mode, a predetermined time before the voltage applied to the blower motor increases beyond a predetermined set value, and it is changed from the concentrated discharge mode to the diffused discharge air mode, when or a predetermined time before the voltage applied to the blower motor falls below the predetermined set value.

Thereby, a deformed state of a cylinder bore is simulated. A protection mask prevents the sprayed film from adhering to the dummy head and is detachably attached to the liner hole of the dummy head.

摘要： Embodiments of the invention use a gas flow to prevent adherence of a coating to portions of an engine block adjacent to a cylinder bore being coated with the coating. Embodiments may be particularly useful for applying a coating on the inner surface of the cylinder bores in one cylinder bank while protecting cylinder bores in an opposing cylinder bank, e.g., in a V-type engine. One method of applying a coating to an engine block comprises spraying the coating on an inner surface of a first cylinder bore of the engine block. The method further comprises shielding a second cylinder bore of the engine block from the sprayed a coating with a gas flow while spraying the coating on the inner surface of the first cylinder bore.
