    • There is disclosed a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, wherein the silver halide grains in at least one of the emulsion layers are subjected to reduction sensitization, and at least one of the emulsion layers contains at least one compound represented by general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R represents a sulfonylalkenyl group; L.sub.1 and L.sub.2 each represent a methine group; p.sub.1 is 0 or 1; Z.sub.1 represents a group of atoms required to form a 5- or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocycle; M.sub.1 represents a counter ion for balance of a charge; m.sub.1 is a number of from 0 to 10 required to neutralize a charge of the molecule; and Q represents a methine or polymethine group substituted with a heterocyclic or aromatic group. The material has high sensitivity, low fog, and excellent storage stability.
