摘要： Disclosed is an easily openable vessel closure comprising a can end member having a preformed opening, an easily peelable opening piece which is applied to the outer side of the can end member so that the opening piece covers said opening and adheres closely to the peripheral portion of said opening, and a protecting covering layer formed to cover the cut edge of the opening of the can end member, wherein the protecting covering layer is formed of a thermoplastic resin having a heat bondability and the protecting covering layer includes a film layer heat-bonded to the inner and outer peripheral portions of the opening and a projecting cover heat-bonded to the cut edge of the opening integrally with said film layer, and said opening piece is heat-bonded to the can end member through the protecting covering layer located outside the can end member and said protecting covering layer is stuck closely to the cut edge of the opening so that when the opening piece is peeled, the protecting covering layer is left on the side of the can end member.This vessel closure is excellent in the seal reliability, corrosion resistance, flavor-retaining property and easy openability.

摘要： Disclosed is an easily-openable vessel closure comprising a can end member having a preformed opening and an easily-tearable opening tab arranged on the outer side of the can end member to cover the opening and adhere closely to the peripheral portion of the can end member contiguous to the opening, wherein the opening of the can end member has such a size and shape that the opening is longer in the radial direction of the can end member, the opening extends from the inside of a circle concentric with the can end member, which has a diameter 0.35 time the seaming diameter of the can end member, to the point close to the outer periphery of the can end member and the portion defined by the contour of the opening and said circle involves a circle having a diameter of 5 mm, and wherein a thermoplastic resin coating having a -shaped section is formed on the cut edge of the opening of the can end member and the contiguous peripheral portion of the can end member and the opening tab is bonded to the can end member through said resin coating.

摘要： A multicolor printing method for printing multicolor picture images upon a material or object to be printed comprises the steps of, in accordance with a first embodiment of the invention, the formation of a multicolor toner image upon a flexible belt by means of electrophotographic printing methods or techniques, and the transfer of such multicolor toner image directly to the material or object to be printed, such as, for example, a container made of, for example, metal, paper, plastic, glass, or the like, by means of a thermo-transferring process. In accordance with a second embodiment of the invention, the multicolor toner image is formed upon a plastic film, which is laminated upon the flexible belt, by means of electrophotographic printing methods or techniques, and the plastic film is then transerred to and fused upon the container. In accordance with a third embodiment of the present invention, a photoconductive member is irradiated by means of exposure light upon a rear surface thereof wherein the multicolor picture images are also formed by electrophotographic printing methods or techniques. In this manner, previously formed toner images upon the photoconductive member do not interfere with the image exposure processing.

摘要： Disclosed is a process for preparation of metal vessels, which comprises lap-bonding circumferential open end portions of outer and inner members, each consisting of a formed seamless metal cup, to each other through an adhesive, said process being characterized by fitting both the outer and inner members to each other through an adhesive layer interposed between the open end portions of both the members, heating the fitted portions of both the outer and inner members so as to melt the adhesive layer, and cooling the fitted portions so that the temperatures of the fitted portions of both the outer and inner members are substantially equal to each other just before solidification of the adhesive layer and the adhesive is filled between both the open end portions.

摘要： Disclosed is a process for the preparation of metal vessels, which comprises lap-bonding both the circumferential end portions of upper and lower members, each consisting of a seamless formed metal cup, through a layer of a hot adhesive interposed therebetween, wherein a high frequency induction heating coil is arranged so that the coil covers a part, smaller than the semicircle, of the circumferential portion to be formed into a seam, which circumferential portion consists of said end portions engaged with each other through the hot adhesive layer, electricity is applied to the heating coil to induce an eddy current passing through said end portions and the circumferential portion and the heating coil are rotated relatively to each other, whereby both the end portions are heated and a seam is formed by heat bonding.

摘要： An improvement in a method for producing a welded metallic can body. The method involves holding and pressing a lap portion of the side marginal portions of a can body-like structure, which has been formed by bending a metal blank into a cylindrical shape, along its entire length between a pair of opposing parallel wire electrodes placed on the opposing surfaces of parallel electrodes, and passing an electric current across the parallel electrodes for a predetermined period of time during the pressing to subject the lap portion to resistance welding. At least one of the parallel electrodes is divided longitudinally into two or more portions electrically insulated from each other, and an electric current is passed through at least one of them independently from the other portions so that the temperature rise in the lap portion of the can body-like structure becomes uniform. Also disclosed is an apparatus for producing a welded metallic can body in accordance with the aforesaid method.

摘要： A process for the production of aluminum hydroxide from an alumina-containing ore comprising, in a process for the production of aluminum hydroxide involving extraction of alumina from an alumina-containing ore by an aqueous alkaline solution, supplying a slurry containing the alumina-containing ore at a high solid content which is prepared from a small amount of an alkaline solution together with an aqueous alkaline solution which is so preheated to a temperature that a preheated temperature is enough high to have a temperature after the mixing with the slurry which is higher than an extraction temperature of alumina, simultaneously or after the mixing them, to an extraction apparatus comprising of a tube reactor, extracting alumina from the alumina-containing ore under extraction conditions of a temperature of 120.degree.-160.degree. C. and an extraction time within 10 minutes, separating dissolution residue from an extract solution immediately after the extraction, desilicating the extract solution, and adding seeds of aluminum hydroxide to the extract solution which is desilicated so as to precipitate aluminum hydroxide. By the production process, it is possible to economically produce aluminum hydroxide with little contamination by silica from the alumina-containing ore with a high content of the reactive silica.

摘要： This invention relates to a heating method for forming a thermoplastic bottle in which a heating member is inserted into the interior from a preform made of a thermoplastic material or the bottle and the preform or plastic bottle is heated by the heating member and a heating device located externally so as to thereby heat the same simultaneously internally and externally thereof, the temperature of the respective heating member being controlled respectively. Radiant heat energy distribution is variable along the longitudinal direction of the heating member so as to carry out the heating process in conformity with the bottle to be formed so as to manufacture the plastic bottle with high quality. A metal to be melted within a predetermined temperature range is enclosed in the heating member and the predetermined temperature of the heating member is maintained for a long period of time by the utilization of the latent heat of the metal so as to manufacture the plastic bottle with high quality under precise temperature setting conditions. The heating means is also utilized for the heating of a mouth portion of the plastic bottle so as to obtain a suitable crystallization of the mouth portion.
