    • A position indicator which can be coupled to a gas pedal has a housing with a substantially cylindrical hollow inner space. A rotary resistor is arranged fixed against turning in a mount which can be fastened to the housing. A setting shaft for the rotary resistor is connected with a drive shaft of the position indicator so as to be actuated by a turning movement of the drive shaft. The drive shaft and the setting shaft are turned back by at least one restoring spring when the gas pedal is released. A member connected with the drive shaft serves to accommodate the restoring springs and for the arrangement or development of an actuating member for a kick-down switch. In order to be able to adapt the position indicator in diversified fashion to desired restoration characteristics and required characteristic curves of the rotary resistor and to facilitate the final mounting of the position indicator, the latter consists of a first mechanical assembly and a second electrical assembly which can be inserted one after the other into the housing. Upon the insertion of the second electrical assembly the two assemblies are axially aligned with each other. The setting shaft and the member connected with the drive shaft can thus automatically couple with each other.

    • A setting device is provided for a feed device, in particular the throttle valve of an internal combustion engine with idling speed control, in which the throttle valve is located in the intake manifold. The throttle valve is connected to a displacement rod and pretensioned by a return spring. A first, adjustable stop and a second, fixed stop are provided for an actuating lever of the throttle valve. The second, fixed stop limits the adjustment range of the first stop for a minimal opening of the throttle valve. An idle stop, which is preferably developed as single-piece lever, acts with the actuating lever. By cooperation of the idle stop lever with the two stops, there is assured, on the one hand, a control of the idle position of the throttle valve, in which case a minimal opening position is established, while, on the other hand, an idle position of the throttle valve with a somewhat larger opening than the minimal opening is assured in the event that the idle speed control fails or becomes defective.

    • An apparatus for controlling the traveling speed of a motor vehicle with an electric control unit acted upon by a speed dependent signal, which unit compares the actual traveling speed with a predetermined desired traveling speed, and upon a deviation transmits a signal which is dependent on the size of the deviation to a control stage. The control stage comprises a pneumatic actuator which acts on an element, preferably a throttle valve, which influences the ratio of a fuel-air mixture fed to the motor of the vehicle, as well as two electromagnetically actuatable valves coordinated to the actuator, the valves enabling the actuator to be admitted with reduced pressure, or normal pressure, respectively. The control stage includes an electromagnetic system having an excitation coil and an armature cooperating therewith. The armature is pivotally mounted for smooth pivoting from a rest position, in which position both of the two valves are closed, against the force of a spring, which force is dependent on the stroke of the actuator, into operating positions, respectively, in which positions one of the two valves is opened and the other valve is closed. An additional valve admits the pneumatic actuator with above-atmospheric or normal pressure, respectively, when the excitation coil becomes currentless.
