    • A bearing ring (10) for supporting a protective device of a rotating driveshaft is adapted to engage an annular groove of a component of the driveshaft, for example a joint yoke. The bearing ring (10) has a basic ring portion (13) which connects to a component of the protective device. The bearing ring also includes a bearing ring portion (14) which engages the annular groove. The bearing ring (10) is a composite component. The basic ring portion is produced from a different type of plastics than the bearing portion. The bearing portion (14) is produced by being injection molded around the basic ring portion (13). The bearing portion (14) is a PEEK material. Thus, the bearing portion (14) achieves a long service life while the costs of the bearing remain acceptable.

    • A sealing assembly for the arms (6) of a cross member (5) of a universal joint has a seal (16) with a fixing portion (17) including a bore (18) which rests on the arm (6). In the region of its bore (18), the fixing portion (17) includes axially extending grooves (19) which open towards the bearing interior and the second end face (22) of the fixing portion (17), respectively. Towards the outside, the grooves are closed by a sealing lip (25). The sealing lips (30, 31), which have a sealing effect relative to the sealing face (32) of the bearing bush (7), are arranged at annular portions (28, 29). The sealing lip (30) closes under the pressure of lubrication. During the lubricating process, the lubricant is able to escape outwardly through the grooves (19) and the gap between the lifted sealing lip (25) and the annular shoulder (24). By separating the sealing function between the cross member and bearing bush when the two parts move relative to one another and the lubricating function via the channels, an improved sealing effect is achieved. When the internal pressure rises, the contact pressure of the sealing lip is adjusted by making use of the self-closing effect. The opening function of the sealing lip closing the lubricating grooves may accordingly be adjusted to the lubrication pressure which is usually higher.

    • The invention relates to a protective device which is supported on the two universal joints (2, 2') by connecting caps (8) and sliding ring. Furthermore, each connecting cap (8) is formed to allow a protective cone (12) to be connected thereto. Protective devices of said type provide protection against contact and are stationary, while the driveshaft (1) rotates. Each connecting cap (8) is attached by spokes (19) to a supporting ring (13) which supports the protective cone (12) from the inside. When the protective cone (12) is subjected to radial loads, for example if the driveshaft is stepped on unintentionally, the purpose of the above measure is to prevent the protective cone (12) from contacting the components of the universal joints (2, 2') which it covers. This measure ensures that in order to make the components of the universal joint (2, 2') accessible, for example for the purpose of sliding on a power take-off shaft, the protective cone can be made to be sufficiently resilient in the direction of the longitudinal axis, while at the same time being capable of accommodating high loads in the radial direction.

    • The present invention relates to a device for generating a synthesis gas (SG) from biomass (BM) by entrained-flow gasification. The device comprises a treatment plant (1), in which the biomass (BM) is supplied to a coarse crushing device (2), which is connected downstream via a first lock (3) to a pressurized carbonization plant (4) for the hydrothermal generation of carbonization char (KK) from the biomass (BM). The carbonization plant (4) comprises at least one preheating device (5) and a carbonization reactor (6) arranged downstream of the preheating device (5) and is connected downstream via a second lock (11) to at least one solid-liquid separation device (12, 13) for providing a fuel. A drying device (16) for drying the fuel is provided downstream of the solid-liquid separation device (12, 13), with a crushing device (18) for crushing the fuel to form pulverized fuel (BS) having particle sizes in the range of 55 μm to 500 μm being connected downstream of the drying device. The device further comprises a transfer device (21) for transferring the fuel to an entrained-flow gasification plant (22), whereby a coupling of the treatment plant (1) to the entrained-flow gasification plant (22) is provided. The present invention further relates to a method for generating a synthesis gas (SG) from biomass (BM) by entrained-flow gasification using a device according to the invention.
