摘要： A process for preparation of modified polyolefin particles which comprises contacting and reacting(A) 100 wt. parts of polyolefin particles with(B) 0.01 to 50 wt. parts of at least one ethylenic unsaturated compound selected from the group consisting of carboxyl group-containing ethylenic unsaturated compounds or their carboxylic anhydrides or their carboxylic acid derivatives, hydroxyl group-containing ethylenic unsaturated compounds, amino-group-containing ethylenic unsaturated compounds, and glycidyl group-containing ethylenic unsaturated compounds,in the presence of(C) more than 10 wt. parts to not more than 50 wt. parts of a medium of a liquid state at ordinary temperature whose solubility in water at 20.degree. C. is 0.5 wt. % or less and which is capable of swelling the polyolefin, and(D) 0.01 to 10 wt. parts of a radical initiator; andmodified polyolefin particles prepared by the aforesaid process.

摘要： A method of forming a vapor deposited film of a silicon oxide on the surface of a substrate by holding the substrate to be treated in a plasma-treating chamber, and effecting the treatment with a chemical plasma by feeding an organosilicon compound and an oxidizing gas into the treating chamber, wherein the rate of feeding the oxidizing gas is varied while maintaining constant the rate of feeding the organosilicon compound gas into the plasma-treating chamber during the formation of the vapor deposited film. A chemical vapor deposited film is formed featuring excellent adhesiveness, softness, flexibility, oxygen-barrier property and water-barrier property.

摘要： A method of forming a metal oxide film by the plasma CVD method and comprising reacting chiefly an organometal by a glow discharge in a low output region and, then, reacting the organometal with an oxidizing gas by the glow discharge in a high-output region to form a metal oxide film on the surface of a plastic substrate via an organic layer. This method forms a thin film having excellent adhesiveness, softness and flexibility on the surface of a plastic substrate relying on the plasma CVD method.

摘要： Disclosed is a reinforcing fibrous material having an improved adhesion, which consists essentially of a surface-treated, molecularly oriented, silane-crosslinked ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fiber, wherein when the measurement is conducted under restraint conditions by using a differential scanning calorimeter, the crosslinked polyethylene fiber has at least two crystal melting peaks (Tp) at temperatures higher by at least 10.degree. C. than the inherent crystal melting temperature (Tm) of the ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene determined as the main peak at the time of the second temperature elevation, the heat of fusion based on these crystal melting peaks (Tp) is at least 50% of the whole heat of fusion, and the sum of heat of fusion of high-temperature side peaks (Tp1) at temperatures in the range of from (TM+35).degree. C. to (Tm+120).degree. C. is at least 5% of the whole heat of fusion, and wherein the crosslinked polyethylene fiber has a surface containing at least 8 carbon atoms, especially at least oxygen atoms, per 100 oxygen atoms, as determined by the electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis.

摘要： A graft-modified ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer composition is prepared by graft copolymerizing an ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer. The ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer composition includes first and second ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymers. The copolymers are each prepared in the presence of a polymerization catalyst containing (a) an organoaluminum oxy compound and (b) for the first ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer at least two kinds, and for the second ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer one kind, of compounds of Group IV transition metals of the periodic table containing a ligand having a cyclopentadienyl skeleton. The ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer composition may be blended with a polyolefin by mechanical or solution blending. The copolymer compositions have excellent moldability and heat stability properties and forms films having high transparency and mechanical strength.
