摘要： A screen includes a mesh substrate having an openness of greater than 30% when viewed at 0° incidence, the mesh substrate having a first major surface and a second major surface, the first major surface including a first coating, the first major surface having a first reflectance value, wherein the first reflectance value has an average value of greater than about 10% as measured by an EN410 standard and a diffuse reflection profile at all viewing angles from −89° to 89°, excluding an angle of direct illumination as measured by a scattering distribution function technique using a Goniometer, wherein the diffuse reflection profile provides a reduction in view through the mesh substrate when viewed from −89° to 89°.

摘要： A layer of fluoropolymer fine fiber can be made. The fine fiber can be made by electrospinning from a solvent or a solvent blend. The layers of the invention are useful in general filtration of fluid streams including gaseous and liquid streams. The fine fiber layers are also useful as hydrophobic filtration layers that can be used to separate water from a hydrocarbon stream.

摘要： A production method for implanted hair articles including superfine fibers is disclosed in which the tension and nerve are strong, hair falling is eliminated, and a high grade appearance and flexibility are given. Composite fibers composed of fiber-forming polymers of a plurality of components having an identical or different solubilities for a chemical or solvent are processed into piles P, the piles P are subjected to hair implantation on a face of a base material 4 on which an adhesive for hair implantation is applied and are dried, subsequently a chemical reaction suppressing agent 5 for the above-mentioned chemical or solvent is coated on the hair implantation face of the base material 4, and thereafter the above-mentioned chemical or solvent is used to dissolve and treat components having larger solubilities of the piles P, or each of the components is subjected to a peeling treatment, whereby only portions other than roots of the above-mentioned piles P are divided into each of the polymers.

摘要： In the manufacture of a continuous thread coated with a mixture which reacts to ultraviolet radiation, a large number of continuous filaments are formed by mechanically drawing a large number of molten thermoplastic material streams flowing from openings in at least one device. A mixture in the liquid state which can react under the effect of ultraviolet radiation is deposited onto the surface of at least some of the filaments before they are combined to form at least one thread. The thread is wound into the form of a winding on a rotating support, and exposed to ultraviolet radiation during the winding operation.

摘要： A process for producing high performance, metallic coated staple fibers and nonwoven insulating webs made up of such fibers includes providing a nonwoven substantially two-dimensional web of fibers wherein at least a portion of 50 percent of the fibers are exposed to one or the other side of the web. This web is metallized with a low emissivity metal(s) and/or alloy(s) to produce a coated web wherein at least 50 percent of the surface area of the web fibers are coated with metal and or alloy. The coated web is shredded into individual, staple fibers which are thereafter united to produce a nonwoven, lofty three-dimensional insulating web having a density of between about 0.02 to 2 pounds per cubic foot.
