摘要： There is disclosed a structure of a matrix display unit having a matrix display panel with mutually perpendicular groups of signal and scaning electrodes and a wiring board mounting thereon a driver circuit having output terminals disposed on two marginal edges of the wiring board. At least one of the marginal edges is bent closely toward the matrix display panel. Terminal electrodes of one of the groups of the matrix electrodes are electrically connected to the bent marginal edge in confronting relation through an electrically conductive anisotropic member, terminal electrodes of the other group of the matrix electrodes are electrically connected to the other marginal edge through a bent electrically conductive anisotropy member or a flexible wiring sheet.

摘要： A sealing technique is disclosed by which the firing voltage of atmospheric discharge is increased by a pressurizing procedure such that the internal pressure of a sealing chamber is held at room temperature above half (0.5) of the atmospheric pressure even after the completion of sealing. Preferably, the pressurizing procedure is accomplished by a partial modification in the existing sealing facilities (for example, belt furnaces and low temperature furnaces). In another aspect of the invention, the method for sealing a semiconductor device minimizes water in the chamber after sealing by suppressing water expelled from glass frit during sealing or allowing the glass frit to absorb the water expelled therefrom. In other words, sealing is performed first under nitrogen gas atmosphere and then under oxygen gas atmosphere.

The panel-side connection wiring is formed so that the element-connected wiring of the first wiring board and the non-connected wiring of the second wiring board are electrically connected to each other.

摘要： There is provided a display panel assembly structure capable of achieving a highly reliable connection even when fine-pitch electrode terminals are employed. A second electrode terminal is embedded in a flexible printed circuit board, and protrudes slightly from the flexible printed circuit board within a range of 0 to 2.times.10.sup.-3 mm. By embedding the second electrode terminal in the flexible printed circuit board, an apparent thickness of the second electrode terminal is reduced while keeping the rigidity of the second electrode terminal to thereby improve etching accuracy of a top surface thereof. With the reduction of the protrusion amount of the second electrode terminal, a ratio of a thickness of an anisotropic conductive film to a diameter of a conductive particle can be made to be approximately "1". With the above-mentioned arrangement, the flow of the conductive particles is suppressed to prevent the possible reduction in amount of the conductive particles between a first electrode terminal and the second electrode terminal and further prevent the conductive particles from flowing into a space portion between adjoining first and second electrode terminals. A highly reliable connection between the panel having the fine-pitch electrode terminals and a circuit board can be achieved.

The two counter-electrode lines are electrically connected to each other by means of a jumper chip. The wirings of the TCP are connected with the corresponding electrode terminals of the liquid crystal panel in a belt-shaped terminal connection area.
