    • The disclosure relates to a flow-deflecting medical device comprising a support structure and at least one flow-deflecting member attached to the support structure. The flow-deflecting member is at least partially evertible between a first position and a second position. In the first position, antegrade flow contacts the antegrade surface of the flow-deflecting member, urging the flow-deflecting member proximally in the body vessel such that antegrade flow is substantially uninterrupted. In the second position, retrograde flow contacts the retrograde surface of the flow-deflecting member, urging the flow-deflecting member distally in the body vessel, such that retrograde flow is received and redirecting by the flow-deflecting member. Also provided is a method for treating a body vessel valve-related condition comprising implanting a flow-deflecting medical device proximal to a native valve.

    • Medical devices, as well as methods of treatment and manufacturing such devices, are provided for applying vascular therapy locally within the body vessel. The medical devices include an expandable tubular frame and a sleeve. The medical devices can be used for local delivery of a therapeutic agent within a body vessel or a tamponade for a lacerated body vessel, while simultaneously allowing perfusion of fluid or blood flow distal of the implanted medical device. The tubular frame of the medical device can have a middle region with a plurality of members. The members can expand radially outward away from a longitudinal axis of the tubular frame, which can urge the sleeve to contact the wall of the body vessel. In the expanded configuration, a portion of the device allows fluid flow to continue while the sleeve is against the body vessel wall.

    • An apparatus for closure of a patent foramen ovale of a patient comprises a frame member defining respective first, second and third frame segments, and a growth and/or clot promoting material positioned on at least one of the segments. The frame member is alignable in a generally elongated first position for deployment via a delivery catheter, and is elastically movable therefrom to a compressed second position when the frame member is deployed across the foramen ovale. The frame segments are structured and arranged such that upon deployment of the apparatus across the foramen ovale, the first frame segment is disposed distal of the atrial septum, the second frame segment is disposed intermediate the atrial septum and the tissue flap, and the third frame segment is disposed proximal of the tissue flap.
