    • Two axially bored tappet valves 11, 12 are rotatably mounted in a mixing head housing 10. Primary fluid components A and B are supplied to the respective bores through radial passages 21, together with fluid additives C and D supplied through longitudinally displaced radial passages 22, whereby these components A, C and B, D undergo preliminary mixing in collection chambers 19, 20 defined by the bores. The pre-mixed components are then supplied to a final mixing chamber bore 13 defined in the housing, through nozzles 23, 24, from which they may be expelled by an axially reciprocable push rod 14. Prior to expulsion the valves are rotated in unison, which blocks the inlet passages 21, 22 and communicates the pressurized fluid components with respective tangential return passages 25, 26 via partial circumferential grooves 27, 28 in the valves. Such rotation also aligns recesses 29 in the valve bodies with the chamber 13 to allow the push rod to travel freely therethrough.

    • The present invention is a processing device, such as a macerator for use in processing various types of food products, that includes an automatic adjustment mechanism for adjusting the position of a roller disposed within the macerator. The mechanism includes a controller operably connected to a motor that can move the roller within the macerator to vary the position of the roller with respect to another roller located in the macerator. Inputs to the controller are used to control the operation of the motor to move the roll into a desired configuration associated in a storage medium in the controller with a particular food product to be processed. The input to the controller can also be used to simultaneously adjust the position of other components of other processing devices in a food processing system, such as an injector to remove the need for individually adjust each device in the system. Also, the controller can utilize other devices on the macerator to dynamically adjust the position of the rollers in response to the individual food products being treated in the macerator.

    • A nozzle device includes an axially extending tubular, cylindrical outside part; and a cap threaded on the outside part at the front or discharge end of the device and having a discharge bore composed of a rearward cylindrical portion having a first diameter; a frontal cylindrical portion having a second diameter less than the first diameter; and a frustoconical portion connecting the rearward and frontal cylindrical portions with one another. An axially extending inside part is coaxially received in the outside part and has an outer wall defining, with the inner wall of the outside part, an annular space for guiding gas therethrough. The annular space is axially adjoined by the discharge bore of the cap. The inside part further has a forwardly conically tapering end portion projecting into the frontal cylindrical portion of the discharge bore of the cap; an axial bore for guiding a viscous material therethrough; and a nozzle bore axially adjoining the axial bore and having an outlet opening for discharging the viscous material. The nozzle bore outlet opening is situated within the frontal cylindrical portion of the discharge bore of the cap. A port is provided in the outside part for introducing the gas into the annular space. At least three support lugs are positioned in the annular space in engagement with the inner wall of the outside part and the outer wall of the inside part for coaxially positioning the inside part relative to the outside part.

    • A tool for driving fastening elements (40) into a receiving material (U) includes a housing (1) with a throughbore (3), a channel (5) extending transversely and opening into the throughbore, and a guide (8). A driving device (2) is axially displaceable through the guide (8). The driving device (2) has an axially extending guide tube (9) in which a ram (7) is axially displaceable. Axial displacement of the driving device (2) is converted by control elements (10a, 10b) into transverse movement of a slide (6) located within the channel (5). The slide (6) cooperates with a separation device (12) in the form of a spring-loaded pawl at a magazine (11) holding the fastening elements (40). The magazine is mounted on the housing by a quick disconnect fitting.

    • In an arrangement for laying rail in a railroad track over which railway cars travel, the rails (1) include a lower base flange (1a) and an upper rail head (1b). A molded elastic bearing part (5) is positioned between the lower support member (4) and an upper support plate (3). The elastic part (5) has at least two elements each inclined in the same direction but at different angles to the plane of the track. Extensions of the elements have a common intersection (S) located above the rail flange (1a) on an outer side of the track. As a result, when a load is applied to the track, a circular pivoting motion of the rail takes place about the common intersection (S). Due to the circular pivoting motion the rail head (1d) moves essentially only in the vertical direction, whereby gauge widening does not occur in the rail track when railway cars travel over curved sections of the track.
