摘要： A known hydraulic vehicle brake system has an anti-skid valve assembly. By this assembly, the at least one wheel brake can be temporarily disconnected from the master brake cylinder and connected to one inlet of a return pump, which furnishes the quantities of pressure fluid flowing out of the wheel brakes both to a damper chamber and, via a damper throttle, to the master brake cylinder and/or the at least one wheel brake. The disadvantage is that all of the pressure fluid pumped by the return pump can sometimes reach the master brake cylinder, disagreeably moving the brake pedal in the direction of its outset position. This can annoy a driver and should be avoided. The improved vehicle brake system has a valve, which in anti-skid operation can be blocked, located between the damper throttle and the master brake cylinder and also has a bypass throttle bypassing the valve. As a result, during anti-skid operation, the brake pedal is not displaced to such an annoying extent.

摘要： A vehicle brake system having at least two brake pressure lines, via which a master brake cylinder communicates with wheel brake cylinders, at least one valve is incorporated in each brake pressure line to close the brake pressure lines in the event of anti-skid control. Each brake pressure line is also assigned a return pump, which bypasses the valve. At least one valve, in the currentless state or with the absence of pressure buildup in a brake pressure line, blocks this brake pressure line and communicates with a control unit for pulsed opening upon pressure buildup in the brake pressure line. Because of the additional disposition of a pressure valve and check valve in a bypass around the pulsed valve, expensive pressure reducers are dispensed with, with little additional expense in the anti-skid control system. Even if the anti-skid control system fails, stability during braking is assured.

摘要： A locking-type differential (5; I, II) is automatically engaged to locked position upon sensing of certain vehicle operating conditions, and unlocked upon sensing other vehicle operating conditions. If the steering wheel is deflected, or transverse acceleration is sensed, the differential is inhibited from locking; likewise, if the brakes are applied, or the engine is operating under idle condition, the locking-type differential is either unlocked or prevented from locking. On the other hand, if a kick-down signal from the accelerator is sensed, or if the difference in speed of driven and rolling wheels exceeds a predetermined amount, thus indicating slippage of the driven wheel, or if a brake applied to the driven wheel is then engaged, and the speed between the wheels coupled to the differential has become essentially uniform (FIG. 2, terminal 17), the differential is controlled to lock. Two axles may have differentials applied thereto, for example in four-wheel drive vehicles, and the criteria for the locking of the second differential may be similar or, for example, include reduction of drive torque being applied by the engine. Suitable time delays can be provided in the circuitry to prevent spurious response under transient conditions.
