    • The present invention provides silver halide color photographic materials having a layer which contains at least one magenta color image-forming oleophilic coupler of the following formulae (I) and/or (II) and at least one of the following formula (III): ##STR1## in which Ar represents a phenyl group which is substituted by at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkoxycarbonyl group and a cyano group; Y represents an acylamino group or an anilino group; and Z.sub.1 represents a group capable of being removed by coupling, ##STR2## in which X represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; Z.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of being removed by coupling;W represents a hydrogen atom, an acyl group or an aliphatic or aromatic sulfonyl group;Za and Zb each represent a methine group, a substituted methine group or --N.dbd.; andX, Z.sub.2 or the substituted methine of Za or Zb may form a dimer or higher polymer, ##STR3## in which A represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic group, an acyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, a heterocyclic oxy group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group or an amino group, which may be substituted or unsubstituted; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; R.sub.3a and R.sub.3b each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group or an arylthio group; R.sub.4 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; and D represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom.The use of the combination of the magenta coupler(s) of the formulae (I) and/or (II) and the stain-inhibitory additive(s) of the formula (II) provides photographic light-sensitive materials that are almost free from stains when such materials are preserved for a long period of time after having been exposed, developed and then photographically processed.

    • A silver halide color photographic material is disclosed, comprising a support having provided thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer having dispersed therein lipophilic fine particles containing an image dye forming lipophilic coupler, wherein the lipophilic fine particles further contain at least one lipophilic compound having a water-solubility of not more than 1% by weight at 25.degree.     • A color diffusion transfer photographic element comprising (a) a light sensitive component containing at least one light sensitive silver halide emulsion layer associated with a dye releasing redox compound, (b) a dye image receiving component and (c) an alkaline processing composition component, wherein the improvement comprises at least one of said components (a), (b) and (c) containing a diffusible hydroquinone type compound having the half wave potential of polarography in the range of from -300 mV to -380 mV measured using a saturated calomel electrode as a reference electrode in a buffer solution having a pH of 13.0.degree. at 25.degree. The diffusible hydroquinone type compound has excellent gradation control properties and is particularly suitable for controlling gradation of the toe part in a photographic characteristic curve of a color diffusion transfer photograph.
