    • A color diffusion transfer photographic element comprising (a) a light sensitive component containing at least one light sensitive silver halide emulsion layer associated with a dye releasing redox compound, (b) a dye image receiving component and (c) an alkaline processing composition component, wherein the improvement comprises at least one of said components (a), (b) and (c) containing a diffusible hydroquinone type compound having the half wave potential of polarography in the range of from -300 mV to -380 mV measured using a saturated calomel electrode as a reference electrode in a buffer solution having a pH of 13.0.degree. at 25.degree. C. The diffusible hydroquinone type compound has excellent gradation control properties and is particularly suitable for controlling gradation of the toe part in a photographic characteristic curve of a color diffusion transfer photograph. A typical example of a diffusible hydroquinone compound of the invention is: ##STR1##

    • A silver halide color photographic material is disclosed, comprising a support having provided thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer having dispersed therein lipophilic fine particles containing an image dye forming lipophilic coupler, wherein the lipophilic fine particles further contain at least one lipophilic compound having a water-solubility of not more than 1% by weight at 25.degree.     • A silver halide color photographic material enables rapid processing, provides a high quality image and has excellent light fastness under extensive conditions, even under high humidity comprises a support, provided thereon at least three silver halide emulsion layers each containing at least one different coupler for forming a different dye by a coupling reaction with the oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent and each having a different light sensitivity, and at least one anti-color mixing layer provided between each of the emulsion layers and comprising a light-insensitive layer, wherein at least one of the above silver halide emulsion layers contains silver halide grains having a silver chloride content of 90 mole % or more and a magenta coupler represented by the following formula (I) and at least two of the anti-color mixing layers contain at least one anti-color mixing agent having a molecular weight of 350 or more and at least one high boiling organic solvent having the dielectric constant of 5.0 or more: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; Z.sub.a, Z.sub.b, and Z.sub.c each represent methine, substituted methine, .dbd.N--, or --NH--; Y represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of splitting off upon a coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a developing agent; provided that a dimer or polymer may be formed via R.sub., Y or Z.sub.a, Z.sub.b or Z.sub.c each of which is a substituted methine.
