摘要： A rolling bearing comprises races including an inner race and an outer race formed of an alloy steel material; and a plurality of rolling elements formed of a ceramic material and interposed between the inner race and the outer race in such a manner as to be capable of rolling, wherein at least one of the inner race and the outer race is formed of an alloy steel containing 0.7-1.5 wt. % Si, 0.5-2.0 wt. % Cr, and 0.5-2.0 wt. % Mo in a steel, and is subjected to carbonitriding treatment on the surface of the alloy steel material. The rolling bearing excels in the durability and heat resistance even if it is used in a high-temperature high-speed environment, and does not cause a noise fault.

摘要： An object of this invention is to provide a rolling bearing in which, as for the rolling elements, it is unnecessary to employ a high level heat treatment such as carburizing or carbonitriding which requires a long period of time to achieve, and which is sufficiently long in service life even when used with a lubricant containing foreign matters. In a rolling bearing, the amount of residual austenite (.gamma..sub.R vol %) in the surface layer of at least one of the inner and outer races is in a range of 25 to 40 vol %, and the surface hardness (Hv) thereof meets the following condition:-4.7.times.(.gamma..sub.R vol %)+900.ltoreq.Hv.ltoreq.-4.7.times.(.gamma..sub.R vol %)+1000and the hardness of the rolling elements combined with the inner and outer races is higher by H.sub.R C 1 to 2 than that of the one of the inner and outer races.

The ball bearing has a plurality of balls disposed between a fixed race and a rotating race, and the ball bearing is used under an environment using lubricating oil having a traction coefficient of 0.07 or more under the conditions that a slip factor is 5% and a temperature is 40.degree. C. At least the groove radius of the rotating race is set to be in a range of from 0.53 Dw to 0.58 Dw both inclusive when Dw designates the diameter of balls. In addition, the hardness of the race is set to be in a range of from HRC 58 to HRC 64 both inclusive.

摘要： A bearing residual life prediction method, a bearing residual life diagnostic apparatus and a bearing diagnostic system can be provided. The bearing diagnostic system 20 includes: an eddy current tester 11 that measures the impedance X of a certain portion of a bearing 24 before and after the use of the bearing; a bearing information transmitter 30 that transmits bearing information s1 containing the impedance X; and a bearing information receiver 31 that receives the information; a diagnostic section 12 that obtains the residual life information s2 of the bearing 24 based on the received impedance X; and a life information transmitter 36 that transmits the residual life information s2; and a life information receiver 40 that receives the information. Hence, the bearing used by the user can be inspected nondestructively, and the residual life of the bearing can be predicted.

Thereby, there is provided a silicon single crystal which does not belong to any of V region rich in vacancy, OSF region and I region rich in interstitial silicon, and has excellent electrical characteristics and gettering capability, so that yield of devices can be surely improved, and also an epitaxial wafer.
