    • An electrical power distribution system for connecting an electrical device to a source of electrical power and disconnecting the electrical device therefrom. The system includes a PCD tag associated with the electrical device, and a PCD reader associated with a receptacle electrically connectable to the source of electrical power. The PCD tag has a PCD tag memory in which data related to the electrical device is stored in a format readable by the PCD reader, the data including an electrical device load rating. The system also has a switch device for connecting and disconnecting the receptacle to the power source. In addition, the system has a measuring device for measuring actual load and a control circuit for comparing actual load to the electrical device load rating. The control circuit provides a disconnect signal to the switch device upon the actual load exceeding the electrical device load rating.

    • Embodiments of the invention provide an efficient and effective technique for storing and dispensing reagent beads. In some embodiments, an apparatus is provided for dispensing reagent beads contained in a bead storage device which includes a bead carrier having a plurality of wells; a plurality of reagent beads disposed in the wells; and a cover tape releasably attached to the bead carrier to cover the wells and retain the reagent beads in the wells. The apparatus comprises a channel in which to place the bead storage device with the bead carrier facing a support wall of the channel and the cover tape facing a stripping wall of the channel. The stripping wall includes a stripping gap disposed between a stripping edge and an opposite edge, and a dispense opening provided adjacent the opposite edge on a side of the stripping wall opposite from the stripping edge. The cover tape is insertable through the stripping gap to be pulled against the stripping edge to peel the cover tape from the bead carrier to move the wells of the bead carrier inside the channel toward the dispense opening and expose the wells individually to dispense the reagent beads.

    • Embodiments of the invention provide an efficient and effective technique for storing and dispensing reagent beads.     • A method of control of the porosity of wells with a fibrous fluid blocking layer disposed on formation faces is provided. By means of mineral fiber pellets of critical dimensions wherein the mineral fibers are highly soluble in acid, a fluid blocking layer formed of semi-dispersed pellets can bridge formation face pores subject to removal at will by acid treatment. Thus after well rework the plugging layer is treated by an acid solution after sealing the formation faces to prevent fluid losses to quickly dissolve the mineral fibers to the desired extent for control the porosity. A novel well workover product making the method possible is formed from raw material clinkers of highly acid soluble mineral fibers of between 5 to 15 microns in diameter by grinding in a hammermill into pellets of a range of 1/32 inch to 1/2 inch in diameter with an average being between 1/16 inch to 1/8 inch and with fiber lengths between 1/64 inch to 3/8 inch. The product has other uses in finishing wells, retaining sand geological formation faces and controlling hydraulic stress. Very little production is lost from a well reworked with this product after removal by acid treatment.
