    • A linear guide apparatus maintaining a high dust-proof performance over an extended period of time and includes side seal units attached to end parts of a slider in the axial direction. Each side seal unit is provided with: a first seal member, at the slider, arranged in the axial direction of the slider; a second seal member at the outside of the slider in the axial direction; and a lubricating member held between the first and second seal members. The first seal member has first lip parts sliding against the rolling element rolling grooves of the guide rail, while the second seal member has second lip parts sliding against the rolling element rolling grooves. The lubricating member has a first oil-containing member for supplying lubricant to the rolling element rolling grooves. The first and second lip parts are arranged not to come into contact with the first oil-containing member.

    • In the present linear guide bearing, the center of curvature O′ of a ball reversing passage 27 is shifted to a return side ball passage 25 side by a given amount m when compared with the center of curvature O′ of a conventional guide bearing. Due to this, not only the radius of curvature of a concave-arc-shaped groove 29 formed in each end cap 9 is reduced by a given amount m but also the concave-arc-shaped groove 29 is shifted to the return side ball passage 25 side by a given amount m, when compared with the conventional guide bearing. Thus, an angle &agr; formed between a line connecting the leading end of a tongue portion 31 to the center of curvature O′ of a ball reversing passage 27 and the moving-direction end face of a bearing main body 7, can be reduced significantly when compared with the conventional bearing.

    • A weighing apparatus has a weighing conveyor with a conveyor belt driven by a drive motor for transporting and weighing an object at the same time and outputting a weight signal indicative of its weight. The lengths of the weighing conveyor and the object in the direction of transportation are inputted and the weight signals outputted by the weighing conveyor are filtered so as to eliminate vibration components due to the vibration of the conveyor. The distance traveled by the object on the weighing conveyor is detected from the angle of rotation of the drive motor, and the timing for processing the weight signals, or when to start the measurement of weight and when to obtain the weight value, is determined independent of the transportation speed of the belt but from the detected distance traveled by the object and the inputted length values.
