摘要： A four-wheel drive automatic transmission primarily consisting of an automatic transmission having a transmission case, a transmission gear mounted in the transmission case and an automatic transmission hydraulic control unit including a transmission valve body secured to the bottom surface of the transmission case; and a four-wheel drive transfer having a transfer case, a transfer unit mounted in the transfer case and a transfer hydraulic control unit including a transfer valve body secured to the bottom surface of the transfer case. The automatic transmission hydraulic control unit and the transfer hydraulic control unit communicate with each other by oil passages cast in the transmission case and in the transfer case.

摘要： A transmission for a vehicle has a main transmission system which can be set to any one of a plurality of speed stages, and a transfer transmission system which receives power from the main transmission system and can be selectively set either to a two wheel drive operational mode or a four wheel drive operational mode. A transmission control system for this transmission incorporates a means for detecting at least one parameter representing the operational condition of the vehicle, a means for determining the operational mode of the transfer transmission system, and a means for automatically setting the main transmission system to selected ones of the plurality of speed stages thereof according to the parameter representing the operational condition of the vehicle, and also according to the operational mode of the transfer transmission system, wherein the pattern of shifting between the plurality of speed stages of the main transmission system according to the parameter is varied, according as the transfer transmission system is set to the two wheel drive operational mode or the four wheel drive operational mode.

摘要： A control system for a four-wheel drive transmission comprising a primary transmission and a transfer unit capable of establishing a high-speed four-wheel drive mode, a low-speed four-wheel drive mode and a two-wheel drive mode by the agency of friction coupling devices which are controlled selectively for engagement and disengagement by the corresponding hydraulic servomechanisms. The control system includes a source of line pressure, a manual selector valve interlocked with a shifting lever for selecting a desired drive mode, a running speed sensor which gives a signal corresponding to a running speed of the vehicle, an electronic control unit which compares the signal given by the running speed sensor with a threshold valve, decides whether or not the drive mode needs to be changed and gives an output signal, an inhibitor valve which supplies the line pressure selectively to the hydraulic servomechanisms or drains the same on the basis of a signal pressure corresponding to the output signal of the electronic control unit and the output signal pressure of the manual selector valve to establish an appropriate drive mode, and hydraulic circuits comprising valves and fluid lines. The threshold valve is selectively and optionally changeable.

摘要： The transmission control device of the present invention comprises a main transmission and a sub transmission and has a first hydraulic switching device which is controlled by automatic operation for setting the shift range of the sub transmission and a second hydraulic switching device which controls the hydraulic pressure produced by the first hydraulic switching device, prohibits any speed change of the shift range, and controls other functions of the sub transmission. By the above-described structure, the transmission control device of the present invention is able to prohibit speed changes in the shift range and to control other functions of the sub transmission regardless of the automatic operation of the sub transmission, because the second hydraulic switching device can control the hydraulic pressure produced by the first hydraulic switching device even if the shift mechanism of the sub transmission is being operated by the first hydraulic switching device.

摘要： A transmission control device in accordance with the present invention for controlling a transmission system which is composed of a main transmission and a sub transmission, has a first rotational speed detector which is disposed on the input side of the sub transmission and a second rotational speed detector which is disposed on the output side of the sub transmission, and is characterized in that one rotational speed detector is employed while the sub transmission is in a speed changing state and the other rotational speed detector is employed while the sub transmission is not in a speed changing state, thereby performing system control.The transmission control device which has the above described construction is equipped with the first rotational speed detector for detecting the rotational speed output of the main transmission (the rotational speed input of the sub transmission) and the second rotational speed detector for detecting the rotational speed of the output shaft of the sub transmission, whereby the speed range of one transmission is capable of being positively controlled even while the other transmission is in a speed changing state.
