    • To provide a high tension connection portion structure for an ignition device for an internal combustion engine, which may prevent an instantaneous breakdown of the connection even if an external force is applied to a high tension connection portion, may enhance a connection property of the high tension connection portion by suppressing a sliding movement between metal terminals of the connection portion and may be applied to the path of a minute current such as an ionic current or the like, a connecting structure of a high tension connection portion used in an ignition device for an internal combustion engine, includes: a first high tension connection terminal 2; a second high tension connection terminal 4 for electrically connecting with the first high tension connection terminal 2; a locking mechanism 2a provided between the first high tension connection terminal 2 and the second high tension connection terminal 4 for restricting the separation therebetween in the axial direction; and a spring member 7 disposed between the first high tension connection terminal 2 and the second high tension connection terminal 4.

An ion-current-detection unit may be arranged integrally with the distributor cap, distributor housing, ignition coil, or engine-turning-angle detecting device.

    • A vehicle control apparatus includes: a vehicle-mounted transmitter which transmits a first response request signal; a vehicle-mounted receiver which receives, from a portable device, a response signal to the first response request signal; and a controller which allows an operation for welcoming a user carrying the portable device to a vehicle according to a reception state of the response signal. When intermittently transmitting the first response request signal at predetermined intervals via the vehicle-mounted transmitter, the controller determines whether condition set in advance is established. When the condition is established, the controller transmits a second response request signal different from the first response request signal. When the vehicle-mounted receiver receives a response signal which is transmitted from the portable device as a response to the second response request signal, the controller continues to transmit the second response request signal via the vehicle-mounted transmitter.

    • A portable machine has a signal receivable area in which, when the portable machine approaches one of a plurality of LF transmitters provided to a vehicle at a first distance, a response request signal only from the LF transmitter is receivable by the portable machine and when the portable machine approaches one of the plurality of LF transmitters at a second distance shorter than the first distance, response request signals from the LF transmitter and any of the remaining LF transmitters are receivable by the portable machine.
