摘要： In a method of manufacturing a liquid discharging head which includes a flow path forming member which has a discharge port for discharging a liquid and a liquid flow path communicating with the discharge port, and a base body having a liquid supply port which supplies the liquid flow path with the liquid, the method includes (1) forming a mold of the liquid flow path and a foundation member formed of a porous inorganic material over the base body, (2) applying an organic resin over the base body so as to cover the mold and the foundation member to form the flow path forming member, (3) forming the discharge port in the flow path forming member to form the liquid supply port in the base body, and (4) removing the mold to form the liquid flow path.

摘要： A simplified and less costly manufacture process of a print head can be effective in preventing the peeling-off between a substrate and a flow passage forming member. In the print head, a protective layer is formed between the flow passage forming member and a heat generating portion. The protective layer contains a noble metal. On a side of the flow passage forming member, the surface of the protective layer is made of an oxide of a noble metal, except in a portion corresponding to the heat generating portion, while in the portion corresponding to the heat generating portion on the flow passage forming member side, the surface thereof is made of the noble metal.

摘要： A fuse element can be reliably blown and data that corresponds to whether or not the fuse element has been blown can be stored with high reliability. A resistor element is provided in a circuit through which an electric current flows to blow the fuse element in the ink jet printing head. The resistor element adjusts the electric current so that, in the process of blowing the fuse element, the current continues to flow for a predetermined duration even after a maximum current has passed through the fuse element. The predetermined duration is longer than a period from a time point when the electric current rises to a time point when the electric current reaches the maximum current.

摘要： In an ink jet head circuit board including a heater for generating thermal energy used for ejecting ink in response to application of electricity, a drop in thermal energy efficiency is prevented while reducing an area of the heater to achieve higher-resolution and higher-image-quality printing, and damages on the heater attributable to a manufacturing process are avoided. To achieve this, a resistor layer is disposed on an electrode wire layer; and two protective layers are disposed thereon. Then the upper protective layer is removed in a site above the heater. Accordingly, it is possible to dispose the protective layers without causing a decrease in an effective bubble generating region, and to improve thermal energy efficiency by reducing the effective thickness of the protective layer above the heater. Moreover, the resistor layer is covered with the first protective layer and is thereby prevented from adverse effects in the manufacturing process such as etching processes.
