More specifically, the invention provides a conductive paste for lithium-ion battery positive electrodes, the conductive paste comprising a dispersion resin (A), conductive carbon (B), and a solvent (C), the dispersion resin (A) containing a resin (A1), the resin (A1) containing, as one constituent component, a polymerizable unsaturated group-containing monomer (A1-1) represented by a specific formula.

More specifically, the present invention provides a conductive paste for positive electrodes of lithium-ion batteries containing a dispersion resin (A), conductive carbon (B), and a solvent (C), the dispersion resin (A) being a copolymer of a monomer mixture comprising a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon-containing monomer (A-1) in an amount of 1 to 70 mass %, based on the total solids content.

The first and second porous heat resistance layers satisfy: (1) an average thickness of the first porous heat resistance layer is greater than that of the second porous heat resistance layer; (2) an average particle diameter of an inorganic filler contained in the first porous heat resistance layer is greater than that of an inorganic filler contained in the second porous heat resistance layer.

When a voltage value output from the battery voltage output section exhibits a transition that rises once to a peak value during execution of the freezing determination current control, and then decreases with time, it is determined that the non-aqueous electrolyte is in a frozen state.

The electrode group includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator. The manufacturing method includes: (a) measuring a first voltage drop amount of the secondary battery with the passage of time in a state in which a compression force in a direction parallel to a lamination direction of the electrode group is applied to the electrode group via the battery package; (b) measuring a second voltage drop amount of the secondary battery with the passage of time in a state in which the compression force is released; and (c) detecting a small short circuit of the secondary battery by comparing the first voltage drop amount and the second voltage drop amount.
