摘要： A separator winding core is configured such that at least one of side surfaces has a large frictional force between the side surface and one side surface of another separator winding core of the same type. Such a separator winding core is less likely to fall down when it is stacked on another separator winding core of the same type. Provided is a separator winding core having side surfaces around which no separator is to be wound and at least one of which has an arithmetic mean roughness of not less than 0.16 μm. The separator winding core is stackable with one or more other separator winding cores of the same type in such a position that one of the side surfaces of the separator winding core faces upward while the other one of the side surfaces of the separator winding core faces downward.

摘要： There is provided a nickel-metal hydride storage battery with suppression of rise in internal pressure, allowing suppression of alkaline electrolyte leakage even when two or more of the batteries are used. The battery includes: positive and negative electrodes; a separator interposed therebetween; and an alkaline electrolyte. The negative electrode includes: a material mixture layer including hydrogen storage alloy powder capable of electrochemically absorbing and releasing hydrogen; and a water-repellent layer including a first polymer including tetrafluoroethylene as monomer units, formed on the material mixture layer. The separator includes: a primary layer having a non-woven fabric structure of fibers; and a composite layer formed on the primary layer and being in contact with the water-repellent layer. The composite layer includes: fibers in continuity with the non-woven fabric structure; and a second polymer including tetrafluoroethylene as monomer units. The composite layer has a water contact angle of 10 to 80°.

摘要： A lead-acid battery improving the charge acceptance in an initial stage, suppressing the decrease of the charge acceptance for a long time use of the battery and having a long life is provided. In a lead-acid battery using a paste type negative plate prepared by filling a past form negative active material using a lead powder as a starting material in a collector made of a lead alloy, a flake graphite and a condensate of bisphenols and aminobenzene sulfonic acid are contained in the negative active material. The average primary particle diameter of the flake graphite is 10 μm or more and 220 μm or less, preferably, 100 μm or more and 220 μm or less. The content of the flake graphite is preferably from 0.5 mass parts to 2.7 mass parts and, more preferably, from 1.1 mass parts to 2.2 mass parts based on 100 mass parts of the negative active material (spongy metallic lead) in a fully charged state.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide an electrolyte membrane that suppresses swelling and shrinkage caused by water retained in the electrolyte membrane for a solid polymer-type fuel cell, improves the durability of the electrolyte membrane, and obtains excellent power generation characteristics with a low resistance. The electrolyte membrane for a solid polymer-type fuel cell includes, as a reinforcing membrane, a nonwoven fabric composed of an electrolyte material and PVDF bicomponent fibers 2a, thereby improving the durability of the electrolyte membrane. Furthermore, the bicomponent fiber 2a has pores 23 that can effectively retain generated water, thereby improving battery performance under the condition of a low humidity.
