    • Disclosed is a coffee brewing apparatus and method for brewing coffee whichmploys a rotating basket and other appropriate support structure. The rotating basket is subjected to centrifugal acceleration and water containing caffeol is selectively extracted from water and ground coffee present in the basket. The water and caffeol extracted from the ground coffee exits from the basket through a plurality of ports disposed around the circumference thereof, is directed through a discharge passageway and is collected in a receptacle.In accordance with the method a preselected amount of ground coffee is introduced into the basket which is subjected to centrifugal acceleration. A preselected amount of water at a predetermined temperature is added to the basket in order to form a coffee grounds-water mixture and an aqueous solution containing caffeol but not the coffee grounds is selectively removed from the basket through the plurality of circumferential ports located in the wall of the basket. Centrifugal acceleration is continued until essentially all of the aqueous solution present in the basket has been separated from the ground coffee, removed from the basket and collected in the receptacle.

    • Liquid fuel is converted into gaseous form in an enclosed chamber rotating at high speed (e.g., 10,000 rpm). The fuel is delivered to a surface of a flat disc rotating about an axis perpendicular to the disc at the center. The fuel flows across the disc surface in a thin film to promote evaporation. Any unevaporated liquid fuel is retained by centrifugal force against the peripheral outer wall of the rotating chamber until the liquid completely vaporizes. The evaporated fuel mixes with air flowing into the chamber through an inlet opening opposite the disc evaporating surface. The mixture flows outwardly, around the edge of the disc, then inwardly between the back of the disc and the upstream edge of an annular baffle to exit from the chamber through an outlet opening of significantly smaller diameter than the maximum inner diameter of the chamber as a thorougly mixed dry gaseous combination of fuel and air.

    • The device of the invention dispenses a liquid, such as detergent or softener, into a clothes washing machine. The device includes two components: a container and a nozzle assembly. The container holds a quantity of liquid and a vane pump. The pump pumps the liquid through a conduit to the nozzle assembly. An anti-siphon tube is located in a hole in the conduit, within the container, but above the level of the liquid. When the pump is shut off, the anti-siphon tube prevents the creation of a siphon effect within the conduit. The nozzle assembly includes a nozzle housing, a hose from the container to the nozzle housing, and a nozzle to direct the liquid into the tub of the washing machine.

    • The present invention relates to a system for delivering an air-fuel mixture to an internal combustion engine in a virtually complete gaseous form. The system is essentially comprised of a converter which dries intake air and combines the dried air with gas vapor and an air modulator for adding additional atmospheric air to the air-gas vapor mixture. The convertor contains an activated charcoal substance which enhance evaporation of the fuel, prevents "gumming" of the fuel in the convertor, and inhibits condensation of the fuel after evaporation. The air-gas vapor mixture is then fed to an internal combustion engine. In a first embodiment, the system may be installed as an add-on apparatus to an automotive engine which already uses fuel injection as fuel feeding means. In that embodiment, disabling means are installed to disable the fuel injectors. In a second embodiment, the system may be utilized as original equipment for feeding an air-fuel vapor mixture to an internal combustion engine.
