摘要： A fan apparatus and an air conditioner employing such a fan apparatus are provided to reduce noise and enhance efficiency. The fan apparatus may be driven by a BLDC motor that stably drives the fan and increases an air flow rate. Heat exchange efficiency of an outdoor unit of a front suction/discharge type air conditioner may be improved by such a fan apparatus driven by such a BLDC motor.

摘要： Fan apparatus including a fan, a shaft coupled to the fan for transmission of driving force from a motor to the fan, a rotor bushing of an insulating material joined to a rear end portion of the shaft, a rotor joined to the rotor bushing for transmission of the driving force to the shaft through the rotor bushing, and a stator mounted so as to be positioned on an inside of the rotor to form a BLDC motor together with the rotor, thereby reducing noise and enhancing fan efficiency by employing the BLDG motor which can make stable operation of the fan and increase an air flow rate.

摘要： An apparatus for summing capacities of outdoor units in a multiple air conditioner comprises self-capacity storage devices mounted in outdoor units, respectively, for storing self-capacities of the outdoor units and outputting the self-capacities of the outdoor units when necessary, an outdoor unit capacity summing part mounted in one outdoor unit of the outdoor units for receiving the capacities of the outdoor units outputted from the respective self-capacity storage devices to calculate the total capacity of all the outdoor units, and a control device for receiving the result of the calculation performed by the outdoor unit capacity summing part to control the operation of the multiple air conditioner. The possibility of incorrect input of the capacities of the outdoor units is eliminated, and therefore, more accurate control of the multiple air conditioner is accomplished. Furthermore, it is not necessary for an engineer or a user to directly input the capacities of the outdoor units, and therefore, user convenience is improved.

摘要： Disclosed herein are a multi-air conditioner and a group-unit control method thereof, wherein a plurality of indoor units can be controlled on a group basis. The method comprises the step of grouping the indoor units into a plurality of groups, the step of if an air conditioning operation condition of a specific one of the indoor units is changed, sending, by the specific indoor unit, the changed operation condition to all the other indoor units according to a predefined communication protocol, and the step of by each of the indoor units, receiving an air conditioning operation condition sent from a different one of the indoor units in the same group and performing an air conditioning operation based on the received operation condition. According to the invention, the plurality of indoor units can be more efficiently controlled on a group basis through inter-indoor unit data communication. Further, the group-unit control is not restricted by whether a controller is used or not. Moreover, it is easy to add or change an object to which the group-unit control is to be applied.

摘要： A method for controlling a multi-unit air conditioner is disclosed which is capable of preventing frost from being formed on the outer surface of a refrigerant line. In order to control an air conditioner including an outdoor unit, a plurality of indoor units corresponding to the out door unit, and a plurality of refrigerant lines for connecting the indoor units to the outdoor unit, respectively, the method includes the steps of measuring respective states of the refrigerant lines using a measurement sensor, determining respective states of the refrigerant lines, based on measurement data obtained by the measurement sensor, and controlling an operation state of an operating one or operating ones of the indoor units, in accordance with the determined state of the refrigerant line associated with the operating indoor unit or each operating indoor unit.
