More specifically, the shift actuator changes its operating position at a higher speed for quick downshifting to a reduction ratio suitable for an effective engine brake running.

摘要： Normally a first target value is given and a reduction ratio of the continuously variable transmission is adjusted in such a direction as to bring the actual value into agreement with the first target value. However, when a predetermined heavy load condition on an engine is detected, a second target value is immediately given and the reduction ratio of the continuously variable transmission is adjusted in such a direction as to bring the actual value into agreement with the second target value. Subsequently, when a deviation of the actual value from the second target value becomes less than a predetermined value, a third target value is given and the reduction ratio of the continuously variable transmission is adjusted in such a direction as to bring the actual value into agreement with the third target value.

摘要： A control device for an automatic transmission comprises an electromagnetic valve that is subject to pulse duty factor control and generates an adjustment pressure variable in a first pattern after a rod of a shift operation mechanism has moved into an overstroke range beyond a maximum reduction ratio position. The adjustment pressure is variable in a second pattern when the rod fails to move into the overstroke range. An adjustment pressure change-over valve is formed integral with the rod and applies the adjustment pressure to a servo actuating pressure regulator valve (i.e., a throttle valve) when the motor vehicle is at a standstill and the engine idles so as to effect a creep torque control. When the motor vehicle starts moving at a speed above a certain vehicle speed, the adjustment pressure change-over valve applies the adjustment pressure to a lock-up control valve, thereby to effect a lock-up control.

摘要： A pair of friction wheels gripped between an input disk and output disk facing each other on a rotation shaft of a friction wheel continuously variable transmission, are supported by a pair of supporting members each comprising a supporting shaft. An end of the supporting shaft of one supporting member and an end of the supporting shaft of another supporting member are joined by a link. The center of the link is supported free to pivot by a pin. The link supports the supporting member against an outward force exerted by the input disk and output disk on the friction wheels in a direction away from the rotation shaft. The link and supporting shaft are joined by inserting a joint into an engaging hole of the link. The shapes of the outer circumferential surface of the joint and inner circumferential surface of the engaging hole are set so that the force exerted by the joint on the link due to the action of the outward force does not generate a moment assisting inclination when the link inclines.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for controlling the reduction ratio of a continuously variable transmission are disclosed wherein when an actual engine coolant temperature indicative signal is greater than or equal to a predetermined value indicative signal, a desired optimum reduction ratio signal is obtained by retrieving the desired optimum reduction ratio signal data stored in a memory versus an engine load and a vehicle speed. When the actual engine coolant temperature indicative signal is less than the predetermined value indicatiive signal, the same desired optimum reduction ratio signal data are retrieved based on a corrected signal which is obtained by correcting an engine load indicative signal or a vehicle speed indicative signal in order to provide a larger reduction ratio. Alternatively, another optimum reduction ratio signal data are retrieved when the actual engine coolant temperature indicative signal is less than the predetermined value indicative signal.
