摘要： A control system for a powertrain system includes an electronic control unit structured to receive ground speed data and load factor data. The electronic control unit determines an engine speed command to an engine and a torque command to a variable-torque transmission based upon an engine speed limit and a torque scale factor that can vary with ground speed and load factor. The commands produce an economy output of the powertrain to reduce fuel consumption.

摘要： A control device for a continuously variable transmission includes first, second, and third controllers. The first controller controls, in response to a first speed control request for controlling a traveling speed of a vehicle for a predetermined state, a gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission such that a rotational speed of a drive power source approaches a set rotational speed. The second controller controls, in response to a second speed control request issued while the first controller is controlling the gear ratio, the gear ratio based on the rotational speed and the gear ratio. The third controller changes, when the rotational speed changes as a result of the second controller controlling the gear ratio, torque of the drive power source based on torque and the rotational speed of the drive power source before the gear ratio is changed and a target rotational speed of the drive power source.

In the event of a maximal power demand by the driver and in the event of the selection of the defined starting operation by an electronic control unit, the rotational speed or the torque of the engine is set to a specified value, wherein the specified value is automatically determined by the electronic control unit as function of a determined friction parameter, by which at least one relative prediction concerning the transmissible drive torque to be expected for the acceleration operation can be made, such that, by use of the specified during the starting and acceleration operation following the preparation, the maximally possible drive torque is achieved for the best possible acceleration. The friction parameter is determined as a function of a state variable determined during a preceding defined starting operation, which state variable influences the occurring drive torque.

During an engine deceleration event, the vehicle is downshifted into a lower gear to increase RPM and airflow through a charge air cooler to purge stored condensate to the engine intake. By delivering condensate while an engine is not fueled, misfire events resulting from ingestion of water are reduced.
