    • Disclosed are a polylactide stereocomplex with improved thermal stability and thus improved processability and a method for preparing the same. In order to confer flexibility to polymer chains, D-type polylactide polymer containing a small amount of caprolactone (poly D-lactide-caprolactone copolymer) is synthesized and it is uniformly mixed with L-type single-phase polylactide to prepare a flexible polylactide stereocomplex. Since the polylactide stereocomplex having flexible polymer chains has superior heat resistance and mechanical stability and experiences little decrease of the degree of stereocomplex formation even after thermal processing, the polylactide stereocomplex having improved thermal stability can be advantageously used for engineering plastics requiring high strength and good thermal stability, alternative materials for general-use plastics, high-performance medical materials, or the like because of its remarkably improved processability.

    • A device for indirectly cooling a battery module of an eco-friendly vehicle is provided that cools the battery module using an interfacial plate into which a heat pipe is inserted to maximize battery heat emission performance and simultaneously prevent degradation of battery performance. A thermally-conductive interfacial plate in which a heat pipe is embedded by over-molding is disposed between battery cells and a heat sink, which is a condensation unit, integrally connected to an upper end of the heat pipe is disposed in a cooling air flow path to improve contact strength between the interfacial plate and the battery cells. A planar heat emitter is disposed between the battery cells where the interfacial plate is not disposed to heat the battery to a proper-level temperature in a cold-start environment and a low-temperature environment, thereby improving battery performance and preventing degradation in vehicle power.

    • Disclosed is a method for preparing lactide by using a solvent. According to the method, since an ionic liquid is used as a solvent in a second step in the course of preparing lactide, it is possible to secure mobility of the resulting reactant, and decrease a reaction temperature. In addition, the ionic liquid absorbs moisture generated during the reaction, and thus prevents degradation of lactide which is susceptible to moisture. Furthermore, to the present method allows for the preparation of lactide successively through the continuous supply of lactic acid oligomers. Because the use of an ionic liquid minimizes the contamination of a reactive group with by-products, the use of a solvent for reactor washing is unnecessary. Further, owing to a high boiling point of the ionic liquid, the ionic liquid can be easily harvested and recycled.

    • Disclosed is an apparatus and a method for producing lactic acid, wherein only lactic acid is selectively absorbed and separated from fermentation liquor using a lactic acid absorption resin and wherein a neutralizing agent is not used.
