    • A tank containing a water separator composed of bundles of laminations for drying wet vapor, and a superheater for subsequent superheating of the dried vapor. The water separator is coaxially disposed ahead of the superheater in the horizontal-cylindrical tank, which has at least one vapor inlet and one vapor outlet. The superheater includes tube bundles which are uniformly disposed about the central axis of the tank, and can vary in number and type of construction. In the direction of the central axis of the tank, the water separator has the shape of a truncated pyramid or cone. The vapor discharge surfaces of the bundles of laminations, within the water separator, are disposed symmetrically, vertically, and in tiers relative to the central axis of the tank, and are disposed at an angle of between 10.degree. and 170.degree. thereto.

    • An apparatus for drying and superheating steam, especially for supplying steam to a turbine. The apparatus includes a horizontal cylindrical pressure tank that has at least one steam inlet, a water separator that is disposed in the lower portion of the pressure tank and extends essentially over the entire length of the tank, a superheater that is disposed in the upper portion of the pressure tank and extends essentially over the entire length of the tank, and at least one steam outlet disposed on the upper side of the tank and connected to the superheater. The steam inlet is disposed at one end face of the pressure tank. Drying steam leaves the water separator, one end of which is supplied with wet steam, and enters the pressure tank. The water separator and the superheater, as self-contained structural units independently of one another and free from any seal that extends over the entire length of the pressure tank, are held against the wall of the pressure tank or on the wall of the pressure tank in such a way as to be movable relative to one another in response to heat.

    • An apparatus for drying wet steam and subsequently superheating the dried steam. The apparatus includes a cylindrical tank, a separator that is disposed in the tank for receiving wet steam and removing water therefrom, and a superheater disposed in the tank for receiving dry steam from the separator. The superheater is provided with a plurality of tube bundles, some of which are part of first superheater stage, and the rest are part of a second superheater stage. The tube bundles form a channel in the center of the tank. Outwardly disposed deflectors are disposed in, and extend in the longitudinal direction of, the tank. These deflectors are associated with the tube bundles in such a way that dry steam from the separator flows, from the outside, inwardly through the tube bundles of the first superheater stage, and into the central channel, and from there, from the inside, outwardly through the tube bundles of the second superheater stage.

    • The method for generating steam with concentrated solar radiation includes the step of heating an absorber by solar radiation and directing a stream of air through the absorber to produce a heated air. The heated air is guided through a heat storage device provided for compensating short-term temperature fluctuations. Steam is generated with the heated air and is thereby cooled. At least a portion of the cooled air is returned to the upstream side of the absorber. The device for preforming the method includes a tower having an air heating device with a solar radiation absorber connected to the top of the tower. An air inlet for introducing air into the air heating device is provided. A steam generator is connected to the tower downstream of the air heating device. A heated air channel is arranged at the tower for guiding the heated air from the air heating device to the steam generator. A blower is connected to the tower downstream of the steam generator and a connecting line connects the steam generator to the blower. A return line is arranged at the tower for connecting the blower to the air inlet and returning at least a portion of the cooled air to the air heating device.

    • In a method of cooling and scrubbing a hot gas a hot gas is supplied with a removal pipe into a scrubber. The hot gas is introduced into at least one liquid bath of the scrubber. The hot gas is forcibly dispersed to form small bubbles over at least a portion of a flow path of the hot gas through the liquid bath. The exterior of the removal pipe is cooled with liquid to be introduced into the liquid bath by guiding the liquid along the exterior of the removal pipe countercurrent to the flow of the hot gas in the removal pipe. The device for performing the method has at least one liquid bath. A removal pipe for removing hot gas from the combustion chamber and guiding it to the liquid bath is provided. At least one flow divider with a plurality of openings is arranged in the flow path of the hot gas. A gas removal device is positioned above the liquid bath for removing the cooled gas exiting from the liquid bath. A first cooling mantle surrounds at a distance the removal pipe and extends over a predetermined length of the removal pipe such that between the removal pipe and the first cooling mantle a first annular space is formed through which fresh liquid is introduced into the liquid bath.
