摘要： A fluid dispenser (5, 105)is disclosed having a housing (9, 109)and a pump action fluid discharge device (8, 108). The pump action fluid discharge device (8, 108) is arranged to be actuated by a pair of opposing levers (20, 21); (120, 121) which are pivotally connected to part of the housing (9, 109). When the levers (20, 21); (120, 121) are squeezed together the fluid discharge device (8, 108) is urged towards a nozzle (11, 111) causing a single dose of fluid to be dispensed from the nozzle (11, 111).

摘要： A medicament dispenser device suitable for the delivery of medicament powder from an open blister pocket of at least one blister pack, the dispenser device comprises (a) a housing; (b) provided to the housing, an air inlet; (c) enclosed by the housing, a dispensing mechanism for the dispensing of medicament powder from an open blister pocket of at least one blister pack receivable thereby; and (d) associated with the dispensing mechanism and in communication with said air inlet, a manifold comprising (i) a body, (ii) the body defining a chimney having a chimney inlet and a chimney exit for directing airflow from the chimney inlet to the chimney exit; (iii) the body further defining a chamber having a chamber inlet and a chamber exit, (iv) wherein the chimney exit and the chamber inlet lie side-by-side each other such that when the open blister pocket of the blister pack is positioned adjacent thereto the airflow will be directed from the chimney exit to the chamber inlet via the open blister pocket to entrain the medicament powder and enable transport thereof in the airflow from the chamber inlet to the chamber exit, wherein during inhaled use of the dispenser device by a patient, the airflow is drawn into the chimney of the manifold solely through the air inlet provided to the housing.

摘要： A powder inhalation device comprising a housing containing a pharmacologically active compound, a conduit (8) with an outlet extending into the housing through which a user can inhale to create an airflow through the conduit, a dosing unit (6,7) for delivering a dose of the compound to the conduit and baffles (9) arranged within the said conduit to aid disintegration of powder agglomerates entrained in said airflow. The baffles (9) comprise a plurality of staggered plates extending into the conduit from opposite sides of the conduit at an angle of less than 90.degree. to the sides of the conduit and are inclined towards the outlet to create a plurality of constrictions within the conduit and a plurality of changes in the direction of the said airflow through the conduit.

The housing further defines an aperture through which said at least one finger operable member in part protrudes, and wherein the at least one finger operable member is moveable from a rest position in which the at least one finger operable member acts to block off said aperture to an actuating position in which the aperture is unblocked and through which air may be drawn into the housing in response to patient inhalation through the outlet.
