    • A circuit arrangement for influencing the brake pressure venting phase and/or brake pressure retaining phase for an antiskid vehicle braking system when the measured velocity difference deviates from a given velocity difference during controlled braking. The velocity change is determined as a function of the wheel tendency or tendencies by measuring and differentiating the velocity value or values at the interval boundaries of an assigned time .DELTA.t of the control signals or by the assigned times of the control signals. A switching circuit, to which the brake pressure control signals, such as, the acceleration +b, deceleration -b and slip .lambda. control signals, and a signal representing the wheel tendencies, such as, either positive or negative velocity change of the sensed wheel or wheels, can be set upon drop away of a +b or -b signal. The switching circuit controls a shifting circuit which changes the assigned time .DELTA.t or some or all assigned times .DELTA.t or changes the switching times of the control signals as a function of the signal or signals indicating the wheel tendency or tendencies. Thus, the shifting circuit produces a high signal, a medium signal, or a low signal indication representing an appropriate assigned time .DELTA.t.

    • A digital speed detecting circuit of the type in which pulses of a clock frequency are counted during a time interval of a cycle of the sinusoidal signal obtained from a sensor of the rotating member whose speed is being measured. The pulse count throughout the speed range of the rotating member is adjusted to be within a range best suited for accurate evaluation, since the pulse count exceeds this range at high and low speeds. This is accomplished in a first embodiment by shifting to a different counting frequency in different speed ranges and correcting the speed signal obtained by a factor corresponding to the degree of frequency change. In a second embodiment, the counting frequency is monitored and adjusted each cycle of the sinusoidal signal by comparing in a shift register the stage of advancement of a binary counter that produces the pulse count with a reference stage establishing the upper limit of the evaluation range. The frequency adjustment required each cycle depends upon the speed range of the rotating member and is monitored to provide a correction factor by which the speed signal is adjusted in accordance with the time required to shift the most significant bit of the shift register signal to the reference stage. In the third embodiment, the time interval of the sinusoidal sensor signal is increased in binary steps associated with different speed ranges of the rotating member so that the pulse count is registered during each speed range for various durations.

    • A wheel speed measuring apparatus is provided for use in an anti-skid brake control system such that a digital speed signal is obtained having good accuracy without resorting to expensive manufacturing methods to assure exact conformity of the teeth and teeth spaces of the rotor member of the wheel sensor device used in the anti-skid control system. The speed measuring apparatus consists of at least two corresponding portions, each consisting of a control unit, a counter and a data register. The control unit of one portion responds to a positive polarity transition of the square wave signal generated by the wheel sensor, while the control unit of the other portion responds to negative polarity transitions, to initiate operation of the respective counters. The count output of each counter therefore provides a digital speed signal corresponding to a full cycle duration of the square wave signal, with one cycle overlapping the other to compensate for any deviations in the half-cycle durations due to size differences in the teeth and spaces of the rotor member of the sensor that generates the square wave signal.
