    • A fuel injection system for Diesel internal combustion engines, particularly vehicle Diesel engines, is proposed which has a full-load stop dependent on atmospheric pressure. The position of the full-load stop which adapts the injection quantity to the variable ambient air pressure is derived from an air pressure adjusting member and transmitted onto the full-load stop via a transmission member. A locking mechanism, which locks the transmission device in a plurality of positions counter to the force exerted by the full-load stop, is associated with the transmission member. The transmission member has two disks draggably coupled within a predetermined range, one of which disks is actuated by the air pressure adjusting member and the other of which disks cooperates with the full-load stop. The draggable coupling effects an adjustment of the full-load stop, if the full-load stop is relaxed, so that the air pressure adjusting member need exert no more than a small adjusting force.

    • Disclosed is a pressure valve connectable between a fuel injection pump and the fuel injection valve of an internal combustion engine. The valve includes a cylindrical valve closing member which moves due to the pressure of fuel from the pump and expells a quantity of fuel to the injection valve. A throttling passage is provided as a bypass to the closing member and guarantees a stable pressure in the fuel supply conduit when the closing member is in open position. To neutralize reflected pressure waves in the supply conduit after injection the valve closing body is delayed by the throttling passage during its return movement into closing position. In addition, a check valve is arranged in the closing member which controls the stable pressure to a desired value.

    • An improved r.p.m. regulator of a fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines includes an improved control spring mechanism. The control spring mechanism is connected to one end of a control lever which in turn is connected at its other end to a fuel supply quantity setting member. The control lever serves to actuate the fuel supply quantity setting member in accordance with the forces applied to the control lever by the control spring mechanism and an r.p.m.-dependent force applying structure which applies a force to the control lever in opposition to the force applied by the control spring mechanism. The control spring mechanism in one embodiment of the invention includes axially aligned tandem springs mounted between the control lever and a setting lever, a first connecting member and a second connecting member. In another embodiment of the invention a single spring is mounted between the control lever and a setting lever and tandem springs are mounted adjacent to one end of the second connecting member in a perforated pot that is associated with the control lever.
