摘要： An electrically heated incinerator is disclosed wherein an electrically resistive heating element is disposed in a separate heater compartment adjacent a combustion chamber. Electric power for the heating element is provided by a pair of electric terminals extending from the heatear compartment to an outside portion of the incinerator. In order to cool the electric terminals and remove or consume deposits formed on the terminals which may short the electric current to ground, a cool, oxygenrich airflow is provided for the terminals. This airflow is obtained by tapping a small portion of secondary airflow within a passageway and directing it through appropriate ductwork against the terminals and into the heater compartment.

摘要： A combined broiler pan and broil rack assembly where the rack is of open wire construction that is supported in an elevated position above the pan so as to space the pan and hence the grease that accumulates therein during the broiling operation far enough away from the source of the radiant energy so as to retard the generation of smoke. A pair of inverted U-shaped stanchions serve as the support means for the rack. Stabilizing means are combined with the stanchions to rigidify the assembly. Preferably the stanchions may alternately serve as the support means of a rotisserie spit in place of the broil rack.

摘要： A hydraulic oven thermostat for use with a baking oven having a high temperature self-cleaning oven cycle where the thermostat is furnished with an auxiliary switch and camming means interposed between the thermostat knob and the auxiliary switch for coordinating them in both the cooking position and an oven cleaning position as a function of the setting of the thermostat. The auxiliary switch is associated with an oven door latching mechanism, an automatic locking means for the latching mechanism as well as a release means for the locking means to insure that the oven door is locked before the heat-cleaning cycle is initiated as well as insuring that the oven door may not be unlocked until the oven temperature returns to the cooking temperature range.

摘要： An incinerator including a combustion chamber is provided wherein an expansion grate is disposed proximate the entrance to the combustion chamber. The expansion grate is movable between an extended position in which the amount of combustible materials which may be deposited within the incinerator is limited and a retracted position in which the combustible materials fall to the bottom of the combustion chamber for incineration. The incinerator also includes a mechanically interconnected loading door and combustion chamber access cover. When it is desired to load the combustion chamber with combustible materials, the expansion grate is placed in its extended position and the loading door and access cover are opened. As long as the expansion grate is not retracted, the loading door and access cover may be opened repeatedly to deposit more combustible materials. However, when the expansion grate is retracted, an interlock means and locking means combine to keep the loading door locked until an incineration cycle is completed. Thus, it is impossible to overload the combustion chamber with combustible materials or to open the loading door during the incineration cycle.

摘要： A valve and duct means are provided to extract ash-laden air from the combustion chamber of an incinerator and direct it to fly ash separators and a finer filter in order that small particles of ash may be separated from the air before the air is exhausted to atmosphere. An alternate path is provided to remove ash remaining in the combustion chamber after an incineration cycle is completed. Ash-laden air from the combustion chamber is directed to a cyclone separator to remove larger particles of ash from the air. The air is then sent through the fly ash separators and the finer filter in order to remove any remaining smaller particles of ash. The air is then returned to the combustion chamber where particles of ash remaining therein are stirred up by the returning air. Electrical circuitry is provided so that operation of the ash removal apparatus is substantially automatic. A protective circuit prevents operation of the ashremoval apparatus if the temperature in the combustion chamber is above a predetermined level.

摘要： A roasting oven having means for supporting a rotisserie spit for rotary movement within the oven cavity. One wall of the oven supports a gear motor having an output shaft with a first spit connector or chuck which is adapted to be coupled with one end of a standard spit to create a constant speed turning action spit. An alternate spit carrying a food basket is adapted to be coupled with a second spit connector that is freely supported on the first spit connector. An intermittent drive gear train is connected between the output shaft and the second spit connector whereby this second connector and hence the food basket has a slow, intermittent turning action for exposing first one side and then the opposite side of the food in the basket to a radiant heating source.
