摘要： An air conditioner having an indoor unit and an outdoor unit, at least one of which includes a communication unit, a switching unit turned on when communication lines are connected to the communication unit, turned off in a standby mode, and turned on when the standby mode is released, a voltage distribution unit distributing voltage applied to the communication unit when the switching unit is turned off, a voltage adjustment unit adjusting the voltage applied to the communication unit and transmitting the adjusted voltage to the communication unit, and a control unit turning the switching unit on when driving voltage is input to the control unit, turning the switching unit off when the at least one of the indoor unit and the outdoor unit enters the standby mode, and turning the switching unit on based on the voltage distributed by the voltage distribution unit in the standby mode.

摘要： Provided are an enhanced structure of a coplanar waveguide that is a kind of transmission line used for optical communication for radio frequency (RF), and an optical communication module employing the same. While having a basic structure including a conductive strip and ground strips at both sides of the conductive strip on a dielectric substrate, the coplanar waveguide has the structure in which metal patterns of a portion of the conductive strip located around points where an RF propagation direction is changed and of a portion of an inside ground strip are removed to make electrical lengths of an outside ground strip and the inside ground strip similar each other. Using the coplanar waveguide, it is possible to fabricate an optical module that has an optimized RF characteristic and also can freely change an RF propagation direction of several tens GHz, without an additional process.

The method includes turning on the second switch to start charging of the capacitor, turning on the first switch to charge the capacitor to a target voltage level, and turning off both the first switch and second switch if a voltage across the capacitor rises over the target voltage level, to discharge the voltage across the capacitor so as to lower the voltage across the capacitor to the target voltage level or lower.

摘要： In an apparatus for online signature verification, a signature data input unit digitalizes a locus of a user signature and reads the locus as a sequence of points. A first and a second pattern transform unit performs a speed equalization and a velocity transform on the signature sequence and generates a first and a second transformed pattern sequence, respectively. A characteristics extraction unit extracts three characteristics vectors from the signature sequence, the first and the second transformed pattern sequence, respectively, to thereby generate the three characteristics vectors. A difference vector estimation unit generates a difference vector. A determination unit determines whether an input signature and the reference signature are signed by a single person.

摘要： An oscillatory wave generating unit and an oscillatory wave sensing unit are installed at both ends of a refrigerant pipe of an evaporator of the cooling system, an amount of frost formed on the refrigerant pipe is determined by comparing a wave form of an oscillatory wave generated from one end of the refrigerant through the oscillatory wave generating unit and a wave form of the oscillatory wave sensed by the other one end of the refrigerant through the oscillatory wave sensing unit, and whether or not a defrosting operation is performed is determined by a result of the determination. The cooling system increases the accuracy in sensing the amount of the frost formed on the evaporator of a refrigerator, a Kimchi refrigerator, or an air conditioner, and respectively starts and ends the defrosting operation at proper points of time, thus enhancing a heat-exchanging performance and increasing energy efficiency.
