摘要： The present invention relates to the direct electrolysis of tall oil soap (TOS) to produce crude tall oil (CTO). An aqueous tall oil soap solution generated in a kraft wood-pulping process is placed in contact with an anode in an electrolytic cell, wherein the tall oil soap is dissassociated to form crude tall oil and free sodium ions. The sodium ions migrate through a membrane to associate with hydroxide ions formed in a cathode chamber to form NaOH, which may optionally be recycled to the kraft pulping process as a make-up chemical for lost sodium. The crude tall oil is recovered from the electrolyzed tall oil soap solution for further refinement. Optionally, the tall oil soap solution is treated prior to electrolysis to remove components which may interfere with the electrolysis.

Advertisers supply advertisements to an advertising intermediary, which maintains the advertisements in a database, and also maintains a database of mobile device users who are subscribers to its service. Separately, application providers provide mobile applications to an application distributor. The application distributor in turn provides the applications to the mobile subscriber. The application distributor integrates advertisements supplied by the advertising intermediary into the applications and application content it distributes to the subscriber. If the subscriber requests additional information, an indication of this interest is sent to the advertising intermediary, which forwards additional information provided by the advertiser, such as a URL, product brochure, or the like to the mobile subscriber via his indicated preferred medium, e.g., e-mail or post, maintaining anonymity for the subscriber with respect to the advertisers.

摘要： A dual mode circular-type waveguide filter (10) has a cylindrical waveguide body (12) separated by septums (16, 18) into a plurality of resonant waveguide cavities (22, 24, 26). Mutually orthogonal electromagnetic fields (37, 81) in adjacent cavities (24, 26) are electromagnetically coupled with each other by an internal coupling element (60) which is mounted on one of the septums (18) and extends into the adjacent cavities. The coupling element comprises an elongate, conductive wire which includes a first portion (62) extending into one of the cavities and forming a magnetic loop, and a second portion (64) extending into the adjacent cavity and forming an electric probe. The coupling element provides an asymmetrical stopband pole (72a) in the frequency response (70) of the filter.
