    • Apparatus and methods are provided for generating output signals representative of bits of serial data. A transmitter comprises a plurality of delay elements, driver circuitry, and bypass logic coupled between the plurality of delay elements and the driver circuitry. The plurality of delay elements delay serialized data, resulting in delayed serialized data, and the driver circuitry generates an output signal representative of a first bit of the delayed serialized data. The bypass logic is configured to selectively bypass one or more delay elements of the plurality of delay elements to provide the first bit of the delayed serialized data to the driver circuitry.

    • A disk drive suspension has a doubly increased dimple contact force through separate, differential deflections of the flexure frame toward the load beam so as to carry the flexure tongue having dimple engagement with the load beam closer to the beam, and thus have greater dimple contact force without adverse PSA alteration. Doubly deflecting the outrigger struts of the flexure toward the supporting load beam in differential relation with a greater deflection and local strut displacement in a first location and a lesser deflection and local strut displacement in a second location on the initially deflected portion of the frame outriggers provides increased dimple contact force.

    • Systems and methods of converting data streams from one clocking domain to another are described. In one aspect, a clocking domain conversion system includes an input, an output, a routing circuit, and a clock generator. The input is operable to simultaneously load N input bits during each load cycle at an average rate RIN, wherein N has an integer value of at least 1. The output is operable to simultaneously output M output bits during each output cycle at an average rate ROUT, wherein M has an integer value of at least 1 and M≠N. The routing circuit is operable to route the N input bits from the input to the output at a clocking rate RCLK and with a dividing ratio K of the routing circuit data rate relative to the higher of the input and output data rates, given by if K = N · R CLK M · R OUT R IN R OUT .     • The present invention relates to apparatus and methods for the precision measurement and calibration of a body such as a precision rotary table. It consists of at least one, or preferably a polygon of mirrors placed on the body or around a circumference of the precision rotating table and an interferometer instrumentation arranged on an optical path which includes the mirrors. The rotational angle of the body or table is continuously measured with high accuracy without being affected by bearing runout. An optical means for detecting actual positions of the body using a laser and razor blade means provides for simple and easy calibration of the body's position.
