It is constituted by two elementary sleeves, mounted opposite each other on the drive shaft, said sleeves comprising peripheral fingers regularly spaced with respect to one another, the fingers of one sleeve abutting against the surface included between the fingers of the other sleeve. The spacing between the cylinder end wall and the pulley is adjusted by controlling the flow of fluid into and out of the expandable chamber to vary the magnetic braking force exerted upon the pulley.

During the treatment, the point of striction is localized during the drawing phase by bringing about an abrupt break or modification in the trajectory of the yarn while it is rising in temperature in the texturizing zone. This is achieved by pressing on a surface or element allowing the twist imparted by the false-twisting spindle to be taken back as far as the first feed system. The modification in the trajectory of the yarn is achieved in the actual oven either while the yarn is rising in temperature or in the vicinity of the zone where it reaches its optimum treatment temperature.
