    • The present invention relates to a grenade that can be fired from a barrel, for recoilless firing. The barrel is open at both ends and is without any flow cross-section constrictions. The grenade is formed of a grenade base body which surrounds at least one explosive charge, and a flow cross-section reduction device for reducing the flow cross-section of the barrel. The device is arranged in the opposite direction to the firing direction X with respect to the grenade base body. The flow cross-section reduction device is connected to the grenade base body, separated from it, via a connecting device, and is connected to it such that it is stable during firing. A grenade launcher or shell firing apparatus has a grenade such as this, and the grenade firing apparatus has a barrel which is open at both ends and does not have any flow cross-section constrictions.

    • A process for the radical polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers in an aqueous medium has (a) the starting solution used for the polymerization and the educts required for polymerization such as monomers, germ latex, buffering agents, emulsifiers and/or protective colloids are introduced into a pre-mixing device and thoroughly mixed, heated before being transferred to the polymerization vessel to the polymerization temperature, no initiator being used if a thermal radical initiator is used and only individual initiator components being used where a redox initiator system is used; (b) once the mixture has reached polymerization temperature, it is transferred to a polymerization vessel, the wall of which during the transfer and polymerization is maintained by cooling at a temperature below the polymerization temperature; polymerization is started by adding the thermal initiator or additional initiator components of the redox initiator system, the other educts being added at the start of and/or during polymerization; and (c) once the polymerization is finished and the pressure differential between the polymerization vessel and degassing vessel has been reduced to 3 bar or less, the polymer dispersion is let out into a degassing vessel and degassed by applying heat and/or a vacuum.

    • An improved milling head. A milling head is provided with a backing plate with a toothed system on the from side, whose teeth run in parallel to the longitudinal axis of the carrier body. Because the blade plate has a toothed system, which can be engaged with the toothed system on the front of the support plate, the blade plate no longer needs to be shifted radially outward to be resharpened. Rather the blade plate must only be radially displaced to the outside by a tooth of a micro-toothed system. This simplifies the regrinding on a constant flight circle diameter, because only the hard metal of the blade plate needs to be ground, which can be accomplished with a normal hard metal grinding wheel. The support plate only needs to be shaped when it is manufactured, which is possible with a normal corundum disk and can be accomplished quickly. Since the support plate does not need to be reground, it remains completely functional and can be used together with a new blade plate. In a preferred embodiment, the support plates and the flank of the groove which creates the face of the support plate provide for an interlocking securing device for the support plate against any dislocation in the radial direction relative to the carrier body.
