The cleaning groove (3) can be a self closing, endless groove, which runs over the contact surface of the support disk (14), wherein it generally does not run parallel to the edges of the support disk (14). Such a meandering groove formulation of the support disk circumference assures that no deposits of impurities can accumulate on the rotor shaft.

摘要： An opener device in an open-end spinning machine includes an opener roller driven by a drive disk and a drive belt. A tension roller is movable between a first position wherein it exerts a driving tension force on the drive belt, and a second position wherein the tension roller exerts a lesser tension on the drive belt so that the drive belt can be removed from the device. A braking device includes a movable actuating element and a braking belt contacting member, such as a bolt, associated with the actuating element so as to be moved thereby. The actuating element and braking belt contacting member are movable between a first position wherein the braking belt contacting member is at a distance from the drive belt and a second position wherein the braking belt contacting member comes into the contact with the drive belt forcing the belt away from the drive disk.

A hollow spindle 5 is supported between a pair of delivery rolls 1, 2 and a pair of draw-off rolls 3, 4. An air flow which can be generated in the housing and/or introduced into the housing causes the pressure within the housing to be built up so as to prevent fibers and the like from entering an exit hole carried in a cover 80 provided on the housing.

A rotor cleaning apparatus is carried on a pivotal cover and is used for cleaning the rotor responsive to being activated. A pivotal lever which when moved relative to the cover simultaneously activates the rotor cleaning apparatus and the rotor brake causing the rotor to be cleaned as the rotor is being stopped. The yarn is pieced up when the rotor is being brought back up to running speed.

摘要： A method and apparatus for piecing up a broken entwined yarn being produced on a machine from a bundle of spinning fibers and a binding thread. The bundle of spinning fibers are fed through a pair of delivery rollers into a rotating hollow spindle. The binding thread is carried on a bobbin that is, in turn, carried on the hollow spindle for being wrapped around the bundle of fibers as it passes through the hollow spindle producing an entwined yarn. Upon breaking of the entwined yarn the bundle of spinning fibers is deflected between the delivery rollers and the hollow spindle out of its normal path by a stream of suction air. An end of the entwined yarn is drawn off of a takeup bobbin and fed back through the hollow spindle and is united with an end of the binding thread. The ends of the binding thread and the entwined yarn are then twisted together with the bundle of spinning fibers and the production of the yarn is re-initiated.
