    • A self-propelled, rotary liquid atomizer having a feed tube and a rotor operably connected at the bottom thereof. The feed tube is hollow and is affixed to the inlet line of a pressurized liquid source. This liquid source is not only atomized but serves as the motor force for the atomizer. A plurality of slits are formed at the bottom of feed tube and they are juxtaposed a plurality of cup-like openings and holes formed in the rotor. As the liquid under pressure is passed through the feed tubes it exits from the slits at the bottom of the feed tube and impinges upon the cup-like openings within the rotor to cause the rotation thereof. This high speed rotation causes the rotor to act as a fly wheel spinning at such high speed that it increases the momentum of the liquid forcing it up and along the walls of the rotor and out through the openings therein. As the liquid reaches the openings at the top of the rotor, it is sheared into fine droplets and sprayed/atomized at 360.degree. around the rotor.

    • An improved electrode assembly for determining the identification of metals and metal alloys having a test probe and a memory voltage indicator circuit for registering the potential difference (voltage) between the test probe and the metal to be identified. The test probe is made of a durable body having a pair of chambers therein for containing a saturated water solution of potassium chloride. A thin-walled tube is located within one of the chambers and contains therein a conductive wire and a saturated liquid mercury solution of granular calomel and potassium chloride. The voltage indicator circuit is electrically connected between the conductive wire and the metal to be identified. Utilizing the two chamber construction of the test probe substantially eliminates gas lock within the test probe and thereby allows extremely reliable and accurate readings of potential difference between the test probe and metal. These voltage readings are an indication of the characteristic properties of the metal to be identified.

    • A fuel vapor generator capable of being incorporated within a carburetor having a housing defining a chamber at the bottom thereof. An input line is attached to the lower portion of the housing for introducing a liquid fuel into the chamber and a return line is also attached to the lower portion of the housing for removing any excess liquid from the chamber and returning the excess liquid to the chamber. Cooling coils are located in the top portion of the chamber in order to condense the vaporized component. Once condensed, the distillate is easily removed from the chamber. The atomization/distillation system is effective in combining atomization and distillation in order to maximize recovery of the desired component in a highly energy efficient manner.
