    • The present invention relates to a system in accordance with which the switching signal produced in one piece of equipment is transmitted to another piece of equipment through a digital/analog converter. The transmitted analog signal is further converted into a digital signal by means of an analog/digital converter in the above equipment so as to carry out the switching control of the circuits and so on in the equipment by means of the signal converted into digital form. This is done so that the transmission of the switching signal between a plural number of pieces of equipment comparatively close to each other or under the condition where mixture of noise hardly cannot readily take place might be realized by means of a very small number of wires.

    • An electronic watch or clock having incorporated therein an electrical power source battery, an oscillator producing a train of timing pulses at a predetermined frequency and either of a counter for counting the timing pulses supplied from said oscillator and driving means responsive to the timing pulses for driving the hands, whereby the clocking is effected based on the oscillation frequency of the aforesaid oscillator. This electronic watch or clock is provided with electrical connection terminals arranged to be connectable with either of an accessory device for charging the aforesaid battery and an accessory device for compensating clocking shift error so that upon selective connection to these accessory devices, the charging of the battery and/or the compensation of the clocking shift error can be made through the above mentioned connection terminals.

    • In a drive system for driving an electric motor at a given rotational speed, an electric power source drives the motor. A switching arrangement connected in series with the power source applies discontinuous pulses to the electric motor. A signaler coupled to the motor has an output corresponding to the rotational speed of the motor and actuates an oscillator which produces pulse signals in response thereto. A threshold circuit responds to the pulse signals and to the signal generator and controls the switching arrangement. According to another arrangement, a bistable multivibrator is coupled to the motor and produces an output corresponding to the speed of the motor. A trigger then triggers a monostable multivibrator that produces pulses having times related to the desired speed of the motor. An AND gate responds to the two multivibrators and sets a flip-flop which is reset in response to the bistable multivibrator so that the flip-flop can drive driving means coupled to the motor for controlling the speed of the motor.

    • A controlling apparatus adapted to drive a D.C. motor at a constant speed in synchronization with an external reference signal. In order to detect rotational speed of the D.C. motor, a tachogenerator is provided, and means for generating a reference signal is also provided. A comparator circuit is provided to compare a frequency signal from the tachogenerator with a reference frequency signal from the reference signal generation means. A current controlling semi-conductor, which is turned ON or OFF by an output from the comparator circuit, is connected in series with the D.C. motor and the power source. With this arrangement, a voltage applied to the D.C. motor may be varied in response to conduction and non-conduction of the current controlling semi-conductor to enable the D.C. motor to initiate self-starting and to be driven at a constant speed synchronously with a reference signal after it has reached its synchronous speed.
