摘要： An illumination system comprising a radiation source and a monolithic ceramic luminescence converter comprising a composite material of at least one luminescent compound, and at least one non-luminescent compound, wherein the material of the non-luminescent compound comprises silicon and nitrogen, is advantageously used, when the luminescent compound comprises an rare-earth metal-activated host compound also comprising silicon and nitrogen. Shared chemical characteristics of the luminescent compound and the non-luminescent material improve phase assemblage, thermal and optical behavior. The invention relates also to a composite monolithic ceramic luminescence converter.

摘要： This invention relates to a rubbery or elastomeric polymer material taking up more than 5% by weight of water and at most 500% by weight of water after immersion in demineralized water at room temperature for a sufficient time to reach saturation, comprising: (a) repeating units from one or more hydrophobic organic monomers, and (b) repeating units from one or more monomers (a) being modified with one or more hydrophilic side groups. The rubbery or elastomeric polymer material may be in the form of a sheet, a foam, a coating adapted for adhesion to a substrate, or a fiber. This invention also relates to processes, polymerizable compositions, and foaming compositions for producing such rubbery or elastomeric polymer materials.

摘要： An electrode configured to provide electrical contact with a subject's skin and includes a conductive layer and a gel layer. The conductive layer spreads current and transmits electrical signals to and/or receives electrical signals from the subject's skin and has a first conductive surface through which electrical signals are transmitted to and/or received from the subject's skin. The first conductive surface is on a side of the conductive layer that faces toward the subject's skin if the electrode is installed on the subject. The gel layer is formed on the same side of the conductive layer as the first conductive surface. The gel layer has a first interface surface that directly contacts the subject's skin if the electrode is installed on the subject, and to conduct electrical signals between the subject's skin and the first conductive surface. The first interface surface has a surface area larger than that of the first conductive surface.
