    • A structure for a vehicle door provides a substantially flush exterior surface for the door. The structure includes a frame member, a door body, a first window, a window regulator, a slider, a fixing member and a second window. The frame member has a top portion, a bottom end portion and a first groove. The door body is connected to the bottom portion of the frame and the frame member is located at an intermediate portion of the door body. The window has a first portion which is located at an outer side of the door body within the door body. The window regulator is mounted within the door body for upwardly and downwardly displacing the window. The slider has a first and a second sides. The first side of the slider is secured to the window and the second side is slidably mounted within the first groove of the frame member. The first side of the slider is positioned outside of the second side, such that the window can be upwardly and downwardly displaced along the first groove of the frame member between an uppermost and lowermost positions. The fixing member has a second groove therein which opens in a direction opposite to the direction of opening of the first groove of the frame. The fixing member is located at the outside of the frame in a lateral direction of the door body and the fixing member is secured to lateral direction of the door body and the fixing member is secured to the frame member. The second window is secured to the fixing member. The first and second window are aligned in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle door.

    • This invention relates to a vehicle door structure which has an improved outer aesthetic appearance and which can reduce air resistance along the outer surface of a vehicle. The vehicle door structure includes a fastener and a door weather strip. The fastener is fixed on a body side member of the vehicle, and the door weather strip is mounted on the fastener. The door weather strip includes a core portion made of solid rubber and a crust portion made of sponge rubber. The core portion includes an outer recess and the crust portion includes an inner recess and a contact portion. The fastener includes an outer hook inserted into the outer recess of the core portion of the door weather strip and an inner hook inserted into the inner recess of the crust portion of the door weather strip.

    • Disclosed herein is an air intake device for a compartment of automotive vehicle provided with a transversely elongated space between a rear end portion of an engine hood panel and a substantially horizontal plate of a cowl outer panel for inducing air to a compartment therefrom. The improvement comprises a windshield lower moulding plate arranged above the horizontal plate of the cowl outer panel in such a manner that it strides across a lower end portion of a windshield glass and extends transversely from one of fender panels of the vehicle to another, a second tube provided between the windshield lower moulding plate and the horizontal plate of the cowl outer panel to communicate with first tubes defined inside of the fender panels and an air inducing aperture opened through the horizontal plate covered with the windshield lower moulding plate. With this arrangement, even when the space is covered with snow, the second tube and the air inducing apertures are prevented from being blocked by snow and accordingly, air may be readily induced to the compartment.
