摘要： A vehicle front structure according to the present invention includes: a bumper reinforcement disposed on a vehicle front end side with a vehicle width direction as its longitudinal direction; and paired front side members disposed on respective sides of a vehicle front portion with a vehicle front-rear direction as their longitudinal direction. Front ends of the front side members in the vehicle front-rear direction are connected to the bumper reinforcement via paired crash boxes. A plurality of vulnerable portions provided at intervals in the vehicle front-rear direction are formed in each of the crash boxes. Further, a vehicle cooling device is disposed between the paired crash boxes. Paired support members configured to support the vehicle cooling device are connected to the respective crash boxes between the vulnerable portions adjacent to each other when viewed from the vehicle width direction.

摘要： An exhaust pipe for a vehicle-mounted engine. An inner pipe inserted in an outer pipe contacts, at its outer end, with the inner peripheral surface of the outer pipe at a first position, the outer pipe contacts the inner pipe at a second position different from the first position, and thus an expansion chamber is formed between the inner pipe the outer pipe. The inner pipe includes a plurality of communication holes for communicating the inside of the inner pipe and the expansion chamber, thereby forming a muffler. An exhaust gas purification catalyst is provided within the outer pipe adjacent to the expansion chamber. On the inner peripheral surface of the outer pipe, a weir for stopping condensed water is provided between the outer end of the inner pipe and the exhaust gas purification catalyst. Consequently, in the exhaust pipe, deterioration of the purification function of the exhaust gas purification catalyst caused by contact of condensed water, which is produced when exhaust gas is cooled, with the exhaust gas purification catalyst can be suppressed.

摘要： In the vicinity of the floor of a vehicle and downstream of the muffler, a pair of cross members are provided to sandwich the first portion (i.e. the intermediate portion) of the exhaust pipe from the top and bottom. The minimum distance in the vertical direction of the cross members is smaller than the maximum height of the muffler. By doing this, when the muffler is displaced toward the rear of the vehicle, the muffler comes into contact with and is caught by the pair of cross members. The distance in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle between the part of the cross members which the muffler catches on and the part of the muffler which the cross members make contact with is set to be a smaller value than the minimum distance between the second portion of the exhaust pipe and the fuel tank.

摘要： An air intake system for an internal combustion engine uniformly distributes the fuel-air mixture in the cylinder, and concentrates the mixture in the vicinity of an ignition plug in the cylinder by selecting the direction of supply of sprayed fuel, thereby improving ignitability of the mixture at the time of lean-burn operation. The system produces tumble flow in the cylinder for accelerating combustion and provides lean-burn operation, thereby suppressing consumption of the fuel and reducing the amount of exhaust gas. The fuel is injected by a fuel injection valve and collides with an intake valve, before being atomized. The atomized fuel flows into the cylinder from the side of the intake valve closer to the fuel injection valve. On the other hand, high-velocity air flow from bypass passages enters the cylinder from the side of the intake valve closer to the ignition plug, so as to produce tumble flow in the cylinder.
