摘要： Described herein is a fluid dispensing system, a system for processing waste material and a fluid monitoring system and a method of monitoring the quality of a fluid. One embodiment provides a fluid dispensing system (1) including a fluid dispenser (3) in fluid communication with at least one source of a first fluid. An identification device identifies a user of the system and generates a user identifier. A processor (19) is responsive to the user identifier to access a database (27) to retrieve user data indicative of one or more user preferences and, in response, generate a control signal. One or more electrical sensors (25) are configured to sense a gesture motion from the user and, in response, generate a local input signal. An actuator system (29) is responsive to the control signal and the local input signal to dispense the first fluid from the fluid dispenser with predefined characteristics.

摘要： In a method for making a recommendation for installing a software patch on a target computer, a computer identifies a first and a second set of computers from a group of computers. Each computer in the first set has hardware and software components, which are identical to each other or differ from each other by less than a predetermined measure. Each computer in the second set has hardware and software components, which are identical to each other or differ from each other by less than a predetermined measure. The computer selects one of the first and the second sets of computers such that the selected set of computers includes a higher number of computers with the software patch already installed.

摘要： Exemplary embodiments of the present invention are directed to methods and devices for detecting open-circuit and short-circuit failure in an electromagnetic (inductive) measurement of the conductivity of liquids and on the sensor and cable wiring. An electromagnetic measurement of the conductivity of a liquid is performed by immersing a sensor into the liquid, wherein the sensor includes at least 2 toroidal cores, one of them carrying an excitation coil and the other carrying an induction coil. When an AC excitation voltage is applied to the excitation coil, an induced current or voltage can be measured in the induction coil which is proportional to the conductivity of the measured liquid.

A communication network control element is informed about the willingness to become an information collector by sending a report message comprising measurement results derived from the signaling received from the managing node of the local sensor network. When receiving a gateway allocation message indicating that the UE is determined to be a gateway element to the local sensor network, the information collecting operation is started wherein sensor nodes of the local sensor network are woke up, and a traffic flow direction in the local sensor network is set in accordance with the managing node identity to which the UE is accessed.
