The system controller includes an image acquisition module to collect from an image acquisition device one or more images of the sample carried by the sample stage, a touch-screen control module to display the one or more images of the sample together with one or more tools on a touch-screen and to generate one or more control actions depending on the detection of a gesture of a user touching the touchscreen, and a control module to receive one or more control actions generated by the touch-screen control module and to control the SPM system according to the received control actions.

    • A touch-sensitive momentary-contact switch includes an infrared-radiation-emitting transmitter, an infrared-radiation-receiving receiver and at least one visible-light-emitting signal element. The transmitter, receiver and signal element radiate into a single light-guiding element. Due to optical beam guidance, a separation of a transmission channel and a reception channel in the light-guiding element is effected in such a way that at a top-side area of the light-guiding element remote from the transmitter and the receiver, a superimposition of a region that can be irradiated by the transmitter and a region that can be detected by the receiver is produced only on a small portion of the area. An operating device for a domestic appliance including at least one touch-sensitive momentary-contact switch, is also provided.

    • Disclosed is an apparatus for clearing stored material, such as silage, from a stack of such material, comprising a cantilevered frame; at least one crank rod carried by the frame and having milling tools mounted thereon which engage and clear the stored material; a cranking mechanism mounted on the frame and having the crank rods eccentrically mounted thereon in such a manner that the crank rods are driven with a reciprocating movement such that the milling tools have a lower, silage-engaging path of travel in one direction, and a higher return path of travel in an opposite directional and means for driving the cranking mechanism. In one preferred embodiment, the apparatus further comprises a conveyor means, such as a suction fan, and is particularly suitable for use in discharging silos.

    • A prefabricated wall panel for wood structures has a frame (1) which consists of two frame parts (2 and 3) and transverse links (4). The frame parts (2 and 3) consist of wooden boards (6) to (9) which define the outline of the frame parts (2 and 3). The frame parts (2, 3) can be stiffened by additional boards (10 to 12) which are arranged to run obliquely. Everywhere the boards which form the frame parts (2 and 3) abut one another they are joined to one another by nail plates (14, 15 and 16). The transverse links (4) which join the frame parts (2 and 3) to one another to form the frame (1) are likewise boards with a length which determines the distance between the frame parts (2 and 3) and the space which is available for heat and/or sound insulation. It is also advantageous that the prefabricated wall panel as claimed in the invention with its frame (1) can be assembled on site.
