The system controller includes an image acquisition module to collect from an image acquisition device one or more images of the sample carried by the sample stage, a touch-screen control module to display the one or more images of the sample together with one or more tools on a touch-screen and to generate one or more control actions depending on the detection of a gesture of a user touching the touchscreen, and a control module to receive one or more control actions generated by the touch-screen control module and to control the SPM system according to the received control actions.

The timber sections are joined by the nail plates with their tapered ends pointed in the same or in opposite directions, depending on the load requirements. Each nail plate has a front edge, a rear edge and a pair of longitudinal edges, and rows of nails are formed of tongue-shaped punch-outs in the nail plate, with each punch-out being parallel to the longitudinal edges. In one preferred embodiment, the apparatus further comprises a conveyor means, such as a suction fan, and is particularly suitable for use in discharging silos.
