摘要： Image forming apparatus having a photosensitive drum 1, a charger 2 for uniformly charging the photosensitive drum 1, an exposing means 3 for forming an electro-static latent image on the photosensitive drum 1, an exposing unit 4 for forming a visual image by developing the electro-static latent image, a transfer roller for transferring the visual image to a printing medium 10, which comprises a transfer voltage supply circuit that supplies the transfer roller 5 one or more times with voltage in one polar direction and successively in the other polar direction during an interval after starting of operation of the image forming apparatus and before the time when the printing medium 10 is transported to the transfer roller 5. By controlling in such a way, an image forming apparatus is provided in which memory effect does not arise, the transfer roller 5 being prevented from having accumulated toner attached thereto, the toner attached to the transfer roller 5 being cleaned, and so the reverse side surface of the printing medium 10 is not stained.

摘要： The present invention relates to a desk-top type color electro-photographic apparatus which is easy in use, small in size and light in weight, wherein maintenance such as changing its photosensitive member can be performed by a user and color adjustment is performed with high accuracy of less than 100 .mu.m. Developing units for four colors are placed in a rank, a single endless-belt-shaped photosensitive member being placed below them to form an approximately oval shape, the photosensitive member being touched with a transfer member on its major axis side to transfer each color of images. In addition to this, the photosensitive member is employed a cartridge type for easiness of user's maintenance and constructed such that highly accurate positioning between the body of apparatus and the cartridge can be performed. Effect of the eccentricity of pulleys is decreased by means of making the pulleys wrapped with the photosensitive member have the identical diameter and making the diameter of the transfer member integer times as large as that of the pulley.

摘要： A method of recording a color image in such a manner that two toner images of different colors are formed on the basis of video signals supplied from an information processor for producing different colors, and the toner images are transferred to a sheet of recording paper so that the toner images overlap each other, is disclosed, in which method video signal portions for forming contiguous toner images of different colors at a recording position are extracted from the video signals, and one of the video signal portions is extended so that the toner image based upon the video signal portion is enlarged in the direction of the boundary between the contiguous toner images based upon the video signal portions, to prevent a gap having the ground color of the recording paper from generating between the contiguous toner images even when one of the contiguous toner images is spaced apart from the other toner image.

摘要： Each of color toner images is formed on a photo-sensitive drum using a plural development units. An exposure process and a development process for a color image information are carried out repeatedly corresponding to a respective hue of the image information. The toner images of n colors are transferred to the drum by contacting a recording paper to the drum. A record mode is selected in accordance with a length in a peripheral direction of the drum of the image information against a peripheral length of the drum. When the length of the image information is longer than the peripheral length of the drum, N times transfer processes are selected as the record mode. Then the length of the image information is divided into N areas. The image information of n colors existing in every divided area is formed dividedly on the drum. The color image is recorded on a full length of the paper. Besides, when the length of the image information is shorter than the peripheral length of the drum, one time transfer process is selected as the record mode.

摘要： An outer peripheral length of an intermediate transfer drum of a color laser beam printer is constituted in which a number of a beam detection signal obtained by one rotation of the transfer drum is formed as an integral number of a face number of a polygon mirror. A scanning line at a raster direction based on the beam detection signal after the transfer drum has rotated at one rotation returns and overlapped on a scanning line position formed on the first beam detection signal as a standard.
