    • Disclosed is a method of exposure control for use in a step-and-repeat type exposure apparatus that includes a radiation source for emitting a radiation beam and a workpiece holding chuck having an attracting surface. The method includes placing a first workpiece on the attracting surface of the holding chuck so that the workpiece is attracted to and held by the holding chuck, moving the holding chuck stepwise so that different portions of the workpiece are sequentially brought to an exposure station and exposing that portion of the first workpiece placed at the exposure position, detecting the temperature of the attracting surface of the holding chuck each time a portion of the first workpiece is exposed, memorizing data related to the detected temperature, removing the first workpiece from the holding chuck and placing a second workpiece on the attracting surface of the holding chuck, moving the holding chuck, bearing the second workpiece, stepwise for exposure of different portions of the second workpiece and adjusting the temperature of the attracting surface of the holding chuck each time a portion of the second workpiece is brought to the exposure position, in accordance with the memorized data.

    • An automatic analysis apparatus is disclosed which provides for various analytical operations in clinical diagnosis and experiments including measuring the changes in light absorbance of a large number of samples mixed with different reagents in a progressive manner, biochemical, electrolytical, fluorescence, and immunological analysis and EIA analysis of samples in bead solid phase. A plurality of samples are maintained, together with diluents and emergency samples, in an ordered sequence on a sample table rotatably disposed which is rotated by drive means in a stepping manner to move the samples progressively to a predetermined suction position at which a sample pipetter picks up a measured amount of sample and dispenses it to one of a plurality of reaction containers that are arranged in an ordered sequence on a reaction table rotatably disposed, preferably about said sample table. A first and a second reagent table are provided, each carrying a plurality of reagents different in kind from one another, selected for various analyses to be performed. A first and a second reagent pipetter are provided and operated to pick up a measured amount of a particular reagent and mix it with any selected sample in the reaction containers. Each sample and reagent mixture may be scanned to measure the rate of light absorbance during a period of time as the reaction containers is rotated on the reaction table a photometer system including a rotating frame carrying thereon filters for different wavelengths through which the optical beam from a light source is passed to traverse the reaction container to be sensed by an optical sensor as the reaction container is rotated. Each reagent pipetting tube is provided with agitator means which is operated, after each dispensing operation of the pipetting tube into the reaction container, to stir the mixture in the reaction container into a homogenous state for proper reaction.

    • A reclining device capable of controlling angles of a seat back of a vehicle is provided. A ratchet plate is superposed on a base plate such that the ratchet plate is rotatable relative to the base plate. An operation shaft is rotatably disposed on the rotation center axis of the ratchet plate. A circular concavity is formed on a surface of the ratchet plate opposed to the base plate around the operation shaft. Inside teeth are provided on an inner circumferential wall surface of the concavity. Pawls having outside teeth on their front end surfaces are disposed on the concavity, and the outside teeth of the pawls engage with and disengaging from the inside teeth in the radial direction of a teeth end circle. Guide projections provided on the base plate slidingly guide the pawls in the radial direction. A cam disposed in a space on the side of rear end surfaces of the pawls is rotatable with the operation shaft. A release plate disposed between the ratchet plate and the components of the pawls and the cam such that the release plate is rotatable with the cam. Projections engaging with cam grooves are provided at the rotation end of the release plate to release engagement between the inside teeth and the outside teeth.
